I see the Inquisition approaching...

On a serious note, there was lots of debate about Kosovo (they declared independance mid-way through map development), and the decision was taken to include only those countries on the officially (UN) recognised list. A couple of additional territories (most notable the Med Islands) were created to add clarity to the map and assist gameplay. This is, above all else, a map for a game

Belgium doesn't look quite like Belgium

that's because luxembourg is too big. if luxembourg were the proper size, then the army shadow would have covered it completely. the only way we can fix that is to give more space to belgium by making luxembourg the same size as andorra, then move the name and army shadow to the south-west so that none of it covers the territory (similar to andorra's army shadow).

When i put something like that MOD imediatly react and erase,but MRbeen is mod,so he can write without fear that someon will erase these.

As far as the map goes, there are little bits all over the place that have been redrawn to accommodate armies etc. BeNeLux is the most obvious, as all the countries were a bit on the small side. Andorra, Monaco and Liechtenstein are all much smaller than they appear on the map too. Most of the Balkan countries have been tweaked a bit, so that while they are approximately the right shape, there is still some distortion there so it all fits. The British Isles have been rotated and enlarged (not just for my own national pride ). Iceland and Greenland are further North.... and so the list could go on

All of these "fixes" have been made to accomodate army numbers and territory names within the region where possible.
