you know, when gas prices shot up all the US squealed like a squealy thing.
I have seen no comments about the recent huge drop in the price.
I saw gas last weekend at $2.90 a gallon - last year's price.
Given how newsworthy the $4 gallon was, and how much panic it brought to this forum, I'da thought the reversal of the trend might have rated a mention...

What with all of us going broke, the drop in price isn't helping assuage the pain in our rear ends at the moment. But it's good to think positively. And yeah, I've noticed. But it hasn't got me driving any more than I would be were the price still what it was a couple months ago.
I hope the price stays at least this low come winter time. Last winter was a bitch with the heating bill.

Yeah well, I don't drive at all,(though Mrs Curl does) I was just observing how quiet everyone had been about the drop in price compare with the howls of outrage when they went up.
How are petrol prices in the UK and Europe now? In july the UK price was over 1.20 sterling per litre.

The pound is worth more than the euro, ut last time I looked had lost considerable value against it. Doing dollar/euro conversions just confuses me: I still tend to have to convert dollars to pounds than to euros to get an idea of price - and since the relationship between all three changes, my brain tends to implode and I forget what the question was in the first place.
Just a quick question. But do any of you while reading the forums title still find yourself skipping over the last word and instead think "the (not-yet) banned"?

To me, his two greatest triumphs were Kipper the Dog and Roger and the Rotentrolls. The former I used to watch with the kids, the latter is hilarious anyhow.
really? I thought that maybe a lot of people were having that habitual reaction. I guess it doesn't really matter. they exist for the same purpose on the same site so other than what threads are in each one i guess there isn't much difference.

Before now, I've nearly been run over because when crossing the road I've read the "LOOK LEFT" note painted on the road - only I've not realises I was reading the upside-down one on the other sidewalk, so I look the wrong way. Similarly, when I was attemeping to learn to drive, I never managed to learn not to panic when driving across a "NO ENTRY" sign directed at traffic coming the other way.
