I know you could but it sounded kind of like there were people coming towards you. Maybe I did read it wrong.
In other news, that would actually not bother me (as long as i didn't see a fool doing as you said) but what would get me is moving to England and having to drive on the left.

THe switch can be confusing. Luckily n NJ Mrs Curl doesn't have to contend with roundabouts, which is always the worst bit when on the "wrong" side.
She still can't get used to being able to turn right on a red light though.
Yeah, it really depends on the intersection here. Like if there's an actual border separating those who are turning right from the rest of traffic at the red light and possibly a merge lane or if it's a fairly small intersection (some of the intersections here in Statesboro probably don't even need a light really.

I'm really pissed. I was playing computer chess just a minute ago and i lured the king into a trap and would have him in check mate within the next three moves (which is a big feat for me as i'm not good at chess) and the computer calls it a draw.

Could said king move? Could any other pieces move? Had it been 50 moves since the last piece was taken?
I had been tracking down the king for a few turns and it was the only piece left. I was very close to getting it caught in the corner between a knight, my queen and a rook when it said that it was a draw.

Iliad, help me!
What's weird is that I'm not very good at chess and so I played one game at level 8 and then toned it down and it actually seems harder to beat now than it was before.

Strange.

I played a lot of chess at one point, and got quite good - I used to regulalrly beat a chess program I had at several levels - but last time I tried to play, I just couldn't get my head around it - I think you need to keep the mental chess muscles toned, and I hadn't.

Hmm. I really haven't been able to grasp going more than 3 or 4 moves in advance which the computer seems to be an expert at. I can more or less grasp what the computer wants to do and am starting to come out with more victories because of it but I can't really get a plan to get the king until there is only a few peices left on the board.
I felt rather stupid in my last game too. I was trying so hard to get a check mate that I failed to notice as I moved my queen right in position to get jumped by a pawn and ended up losing.

Well it's over. me and my gf have officially broken up. I guess I should call her my ex-gf now. Oh well, it was a good relationship while it lasted but it's been pretty obvious to me, especially over the last week that it had gotten as far as it was ever going to get.

I just read the thread and heard chess. In grade three, I was a little less then prodigy in chess. I was beating everyone, including the grade 8's. At the age of 8, I was arguably the best, if not one of the best players in a school of 8 grades. Now im super rusty.
