edbeard and Powercrazy, you are completely right. I will look into it later and comment on your opinions and what I decided to do with scoring. It was never my intent to make people throw games, I just didn't look hard enough on the scoring system.

Alternatively you can just give the winning team +4 and then add the bonuses.

As too much numbers makes my head hurt and I'm not that bright in math then I decided to take the easy way out and use the above solution. I hope everybody is alright with it.

Everybody should have got a message like this:

Hey!

I never thought that this tournament (Halloween Hollows) will be so popular and that I will have so many sign ups. This seems to be one of the best tournaments that I've made (probably because there aren't many quad tournaments and because the map is amazing) and I never ever expected that I can make it that big. If I have known it before, I would have changed the format and made it possible for more teams to join right away.

Secondly I'd like to apologise that there is so much fuzz around it and that I haven't/couldn't keep the tournament exactly as I made it but I think previous paragraph explains why it has happened.

Thirdly, I need your help to decide what to do with it. There's still plenty of time left before October 31 and there still seems to be a lot of interest in the tournament. As there were a few people who wished it to stay smaller (and I completely understand the concerns) then I've been thinking that we could change the tournament back to as it was at the beginning - both streets have 6 teams and everybody must play 5 games (+ finals for those who get there) AND split the tournament. By splitting I mean that there would be Halloween Hollows 1 and Halloween Hollows 2. Both tournaments would be identical, I would just move some teams from the current one to second one (it could be done either according to points or just randomly).

I've set up a poll in the tournament thread, please visit it and vote. Also, don't hesitate to share your thoughts and either post to the thread or private message me. I'm not saying that the winner option of the poll will happen but it will surely give me an idea what people think.

If anything is confusing then let me know about it and I'll try to make things more clear

The Tourneys is a great idea...my bad for telling everyone to be quiet...cause now there will be twice as much fun and it still stays small....oh yeah thats if it gets the votes

i voted to split it randomly, ive never been a fan of splitting things by points, always liked equil shots of high and low point players to go through, but thats just me

Amazzony keep the original set up you had, 6 teams and 2 streets and name it Halloween Hollows 1, make the 2nd tournament identical and name it Halloweens 2, and even Halloween Hollows 3 if there is more interest, 3 different tournies but all identical with 3 different winners or 2 winner if you make 2 tournies.

Also, you must consider this, if my team made the finals and we played a team in the finals and we won the finals game but the team we beat ends up having more candies or points then us, then are we still the winners???? it is possible this could happen.

Finally, if you make 2 identical tournaments I would like to sign my team up for both tournies please and should be able to since one is named Halloween Hollows 1 and the other Halloween Hollows 2, I would like my team in both. Please sign my team in each one if you consider making 2 tourney's, thank you sir. I would like to know the verdict or choice you make before I play in these tournies please.

Why not just add more roads? Then the winners of each could do some type of play-off and you wouldn't have to worry about all this splitting business.

Everybody who wanted to vote had time to vote and as the poll shows, almost 50% prefers a random split and as it is also my favourite option then this is what will happen. I'll set up both tournaments later today and message everybody with their proper thread.

There are a few things that needs explaining and if there's anything else confusing, just ask.

The whole point of the split is that everybody who have signed up could play. Therefore, your team can play in only 1 tournament - either Halloween Hollows I or II. Which one, depends on the split. Signing up again isn't needed and don't try to sign up to both of them, I won't let you in

About finals. The number of candies gathered before won't matter in there. Best out of 5 series will decide the winner - whoever reaches 3 wins, bags the tournament. I've added explanation to the first post also.
