Is it played game by game? I mean, every game decides a chip, but you could reserve the colums in advance and then play a bunch of games...
In other words, could I join or is this a premium only tournament?

Freemiums can play - as there will only be 1 game running at a time...

I guess you *could* reserve columns - however - this would be strategically unsound - as you may not win the column you are expecting to win etc?!

If we reach 32 - that's awesome - otherwise I will take it to 16 - and the next few joiners will be reserves for the first round.

I'd like to join the tournaments if that is alright... My name is James Brent London and I'm the World Connect 4 Champion for 2008. I didn't see much information about this so I have a few questions...
1) Where are the games held?... Or are they turn-based?
2) What's the time limit for games?
3) What kind of program detection do you use, if any... (You really should)
4) What size board do you use?... I've done 9x6 8x7 and 7x6 before, some use 8x8.
