Funny, I think I might have heard this "trickle down but before... oh yeah, right before the LAST big plummet.PopeBenXVI wrote:Player, I am glad you are here to determine how much profit companies are allowed to make. As you agreed with me, raising taxes will not create jobs. It will create higher unemployment which does not create spending in the economy and as a result less services bought & sold and more companies going under as a result. If you want that decent house, clothing, food and medical, then you want lower taxes so you can use your own money and not look for a handout from others.
You sound amazingly like an Obama ad, regurgitating propaganda over and over until it is believed. Don't bring up that the economy grow the majority of the Bush years despite the internet bubble breaking right at the end of the clinton years, 9-11, and a long war. Obama's buddy Barney Frank also had a hand in the mortgage crisis that you now blame Bush for. I suppose the democrats being in control of congress the last 2 years has nothing to do with it either? They are completely clean and Bush alone destroyed the economy....OK got it.PLAYER57832 wrote:Funny, I think I might have heard this "trickle down but before... oh yeah, right before the LAST big plummet.PopeBenXVI wrote:Player, I am glad you are here to determine how much profit companies are allowed to make. But never mind Reagan, Bush has had eight years if his way. The result? The welsthiest few are getting more and more wealthy, while the rest of us go downhill. The Middle class is shrinking, not going up. AND now we are having to loan some of the worst offenders millions out of our taxes. Maybe we will get it back.
The RESULTS speak for themselves!
There you go again, projecting your idiocy on others.PopeBenXVI wrote:Your right, I did not even make 30K last year so I would have recieved a welfare check under Obama from him taxing wealthier people who earned their money. Confusing that I oppose him huh? Thats because he is an idiot.
Amazing that you still manage to own a small business with that level of income...PopeBenXVI wrote:Your right, I did not even make 30K last year so I would have recieved a welfare check under Obama from him taxing wealthier people who earned their money. See, I told you he is a pedophile.PopeBenXVI wrote:Yes, thats what I mean by people sacrificing, working hard and earning their money later in life. I can work another job while investing in building another business over some years. Why again should hard workers be taxed more and others with their hand out be given that money to sit on the couch and watch the view?
The reason you can't easily identify the middle class is that they pretty much no longer exist, at least not in large enough numbers to distinguish themselves as a distinct block. Indeed, that is one of the biggest problems with our country. If I remember correctly, the top 1% of the US own 20% of the wealth. That's just fucked up.PopeBenXVI wrote:Just like I thought. None of you know who the "middleclass" is. It's whoever Obama wants you to think it is. He wants everyone to think it's them because he wants you all to think you will be helped with his tax plan. I would love to say that I will laugh at you when all our taxes go up (including yours) but mine will go up too I'm sure. I don't plan on staying at my current level of income for years so I can collect from the rich and not work hard or try to advance myself.
It's just like the minimum wage scam. The idea is to start there and work your way up and not stay at a dead end job your whole life and wait for a handout.

Actually, that's better than it's been through most periods and locations in history. Given that for most of the Middle Ages it was 1% of the population owned somewhere between 70% and 90% of the wealth, the Roman Empire the top 1% owned 50% or more of the wealth, and... well, I could go on at length, but suffice to say... this is actually a very heartening figure. Not at all the bad news it seems pitched as whenever it's dragged out in economic debates.Frigidus wrote:The reason you can't easily identify the middle class is that they pretty much no longer exist, at least not in large enough numbers to distinguish themselves as a distinct block.
