i recently obtained the inernet (i moved to school) and i have always wanted to play games online, i dont know if the firewall would allow it anyway, but its worth a shot...

So, i obtained a "free gold trial card" for 48 hours...it says i need silver... and im lost!!!
whats the difference? whats the price difference? anywhere i may be able to obtain the cards needed for activation? someone told me silver is free...is this true? if so, is there limited access to games?
if anyone could answer ANY of these questions, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
