Allow players to send each other gifts after a game
Specifics:
Similar to Facebook et al, where you can send other people gifts, but only after you've completed a game with them, similar to how we leave ratings now. You could also have a tally of how many gifts someone has gotten on their user page... "17 Rounds of Applause, 12 Tissues, 23 Kudos"
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Allows a different type of rating system that's a little more light hearted
Would allow me to truly express the way I feel towards another player
Yeah, basically leaving tags like "complainer" and "sore loser" are too... formal. I mean, I'll go ahead and use them, but I would prefer to leave something more fun...
No need to ditch the current system cicero, this is just a little add on. Like a mantle near your Wall, where you can keep all your trophies. (Or just throw them out.)

So anyway, does anyone have suggestions for what gifts could be given, or what amendments could be made to the original list. Keeping in mind that if you're trying to derail the thread, best way to do it is start a new one in FW where nobody has to listen to your shit
Cupcakes - I would suggest to stay away from food.
Kudos - Once, again, I am unsure of what these are
Round of Applause - I like it, this is used in many sites
Crown - I think this might work. But what about the colonel crown?
Yellow Card - Americans will be confused since they do not know anything about real football
Red Card - Same as above. Otherwise a good idea.
Tip of the Hat - Very good idea
Suspicious Glance - Would be rather abused by pessimists, but still a nice thing.
Pat on the Back - Another good one.
MVP Award - Not so sure on this one, the MVP could be implemented into the site as a better thing that a "gift" given by any random play to another player.

Those are my opinions on the list so far. I think we could add more negatives, like "poisoned potato" or some such thing you would give to your enemies.

Ahem, I'm an American and I believe most Americans would get the reference to Soccer/Football. Besides, Americans shouldn't be the only interest group that matters to this site.

Well, my opinion of their intelligence is a little lower. I agree entirely with the second part, though.
