By the end of it, I believe that she was begging to go home. Though, I do sense cynicism in your tone, it seems to me that you only made this thread to re-hash the tragedy that was her case, and seek to bring the shadow of hypocrisy to the idea of faith and religion. If this is the case, then shame on you.pimpdave wrote:So then why would she fear going home to be with her Heavenly Father?

Are you afraid of that part?
I was talking about death, not the unknown. You know what death is, right? You've seen death, right? Well, maybe not. A lot of Americans have no idea what death looks like. I'm not trying to be confrontational, I just want to keep a dialogue going.jnd94 wrote:

Not a bad idea with the freefall. From what I understand though most people die from the anticipation of death than the fall when in those circumstances. Heart attack as you see the ground fast aproaching. Not a fan of the rusty metal pole...I am afraid of that!!browng-08 wrote:i don't fear death, or necessarily even fear dying. I fear pain. I'd rather die in a free-fall from a plane where the trip down would be a thrill-ride, followed by an instantaneous, painless death than be impaled by a rusty iron pole and survive thanks to some miraculous operation and then continue to have a normal life. I fear pain more than anything, in fact.

Good for you. I believe that that final moment of your life is the culmination of all that you have done. It is that time that you reflect, for however much time that you have to do it in, and determine if you have lived a life satisfactory to your own judgment.Matroshka wrote:black elk speaks wrote:he who fears death also fears life, for they are one in the same.
Death is not the same as life, it is in fact, the end of life. They are not "one in the same". I believe that someone can cherish life because they fear death.

Haha.PopeBenXVI wrote:Yes, Terri was asked by her family if she wanted to die and she nodded her head no and hinted she was scared to die. Her brother and parents were adamite about her responsiveness the whole time after her acident. That was a case of her husband (former) offing her for a million dollar policy and the courts let it happen. Her family wanted to take care of her and requested to take her in and assume all the cost themselves for her care. Her husband who was with another woman for the last ten years, would not allow it. All she needed was a feeding tube to keep living and he had it pulled and she literally starved to death from dehydration while conscious and perfectly aware of pain.
First hand witness account? hmmm, can't imagine that you would come all the way to America to check in on a vegetable though. Perhaps you were on vacation to DisneyWorld and popped in since you were in the area?Snorri1234 wrote:Haha.PopeBenXVI wrote:Yes, Terri was asked by her family if she wanted to die and she nodded her head no and hinted she was scared to die. Wrong.
