Will there be an assasination attempt on BO

If Gerald Ford--Gerald Ford!--can have two assassination attempts, any President can. People were close to killing Ford, Reagan, and the Pope. I'm sure that there will be some attempt, from someone, somewhere, but I doubt it will get far. There are too many attention-seeking individuals, with mental disabilities, etc., for there not to be something. I'd say there is probably about a 50/50 chance of one materializing enough to the point that it becomes big news. Most would-be assassination attempts don't make it far enough for the general public to know. Hopefully nothing will come, and all politicians, and public figures in general, are safe.

Some people will point to race ...and some people will point to taxes, economic policies, foreign relations, trade, immigration, stance on any issue, hires, personal relations ... etc.

The "media" is just a group of human beings. Human beings, in general, have a hard time being completely and utterly nuetral. That is why it is best to review a group of differant sources and not rely on one.

If you ARE going to rely on 1 (or have to, though in this day and age the internet allows wide access for most people), NPR (All things Considered and Morning Edition .. NOT Alternative radio,and other programs they broadcast but do not produce) for general news and BBC for world news are each considered some of the most unbiased by multiple sources (the exceptions being those that make no attempts at being unbiased ... such as Fox). PBS Frontline does some pretty comprehensive coverage, but only on specific topics ... and they do tend toward controversy in those. (as in, they try to point out places where the regular media "misses" or "skips" stuff).

Christian Science monitor WAS considered the most unbiased for World News, but they are gone. For that matter, the Rolling Stone and some PlayBoy articles (interviews with presidents, some exposes, etc.) have had good reputations in the past, but I am not familiar with either.
