He can still play the game, but he can't post in the forums

Because if so, you guys will find quite a few people to bust in the 500+ pages of the "Post a Picture of Yourself" thread.
Or personal info (just a picture and the name) of someone NOT on CC, which would also apply to the "picture of yourself" thread. Just curious...

Underage, boys, back up three steps. Anyways, my point has been proved. See, she doesn't use the website, therefore this is OK. Of course. I'm going to have her join later tonight and then edit the post. I wonder what will happen!DAZMCFC wrote:MeDeFe wrote:Is she hot?Frigidus wrote:The same thing happened when they banned the four users for posting on other accounts earlier (including DM). QFT, because shooting someone and posting someone's phone number when asked to on a forum when it's not even against the rules are exactly the same thing.TheProwler wrote:DM said the guy wanted his phone number posted publicly. What were the exact words used to make this request? Because in the post that I read, where DM quotes the PM, there is no such request.
That said, in my mind it doesn't matter. If someone says "Shoot me" it is still a crime to shoot him.
But maybe it will calm the rest of you down if you realize the request was never made.
It's common sense that you don't post someone's number when they don't want and ask you to. That was not this situation since he was asked to. You say it's ridiculous, but if it had been you or anyone you respected on this forum, you would not think so.TheProwler wrote:It is common sense that you should not post someone's phone number. This whole reaction and "public outcry" is ridiculous.

And the big problem we have isn't that DM is gone. We've already resigned ourselves to that fact. The problem rules are getting stretched/created to ban people the administration don't like.
Funny, I don't see anything there which would imply that he wanted his phone number to be posted. Just because Dancing Mustard said he requested this doesn't make it so. Has anyone asked Semigall or are you guys just going by what DM said without any real evidence?Semigall wrote:i don't really have time or mood to change people opinions through internet, so i'm not really interested in any useless arguing about the topic.
If you're really interested to discuss such things with me - you can always try to contact me IRL (+XXXXXXXXXXX) in case you ever come to my country, but otherwise i'm not interested in any other forms of such debates.

That PM was addressed to CC, not to DM. Semigall wrote it so that DM could post it for him.GabonX wrote:F1fth wrote:It's common sense that you don't post someone's number when they don't want and ask you to. Probably the latter...

So said DM. If this was the case why didn't Semigall post it himself? If you haven't taken the time to ask Semigall you really don't know what you're talking about regardless of whether you are correct or incorrect.F1fth wrote:That PM was addressed to CC, not to DM. the bolded part is where you kind of put yourself on shaky ground.GabonX wrote:Funny, I don't see anything there which would imply that he wanted his phone number to be posted. that would be no planet i know of. Instead of missing the point, you could just go back to the part where you said has anybody asked for Semigalls opinion on the matter, in which the bolded part points out rather simply, from the source in question even, why this might be a losing proposition.GabonX wrote:On what planet does "i don't really have time or mood to change people opinions through internet" translate as "please post my phone number on the enternet?"
If you had checked Semigall's profile:GabonX wrote:So said DM. If this was the case why didn't Semigall post it himself? If you haven't taken the time to ask Semigall you really don't know what you're talking about regardless of whether you are correct or incorrect.

Please be write using specifics, you have a vauge stile which I'm struggling with ie not stating what you were addressing in the orriginal post and using phrases like "the source in question"which could be either DM or Semigall.got tonkaed wrote:that would be no planet i know of. Stay on earth, its nice here.
Do you really think they "are exactly the same thing"? They are not. But it illustrates that just because someone requests that you break a rule/law that would potentially harm them, it doesn't make it okay to do it.F1fth wrote:QFT, because shooting someone and posting someone's phone number when asked to on a forum when it's not even against the rules are exactly the same thing.TheProwler wrote:DM said the guy wanted his phone number posted publicly. And if you look at the post, you see that it's not addressed to DM but to all of CC. It was a message that Seimwhatever intended for DM to post in a thread and I'm sure asked him to.
