you could just edit your photo and then if that person wants to post him or herself in the picture well then they can, But i dont think it would be a huge problem as long as the other person in the photo does not complain? Saying that you may want to ask lack or another admin, it is a bit different if you met the person or know the person and take a picture, vs posting actual information about someone that is private.

That "it's not a problem if the person doesn't complain" policy seems like the sort of thing we should apply to DM's case too. That really is common sense, Gabon. Thanks.

DM was asked to by the person, there was no complaining

well, posting a picture where both members are actually in, and posting someones phone number is quite different. But then again, I am only a volunteer mod, and not the owner of the site. So perhaps you should ask that question to this sites owner? And don't try to turn my words around, or I just won't answer any more question about anything anymore.

I'm not putting words in your mouth, you yourself stated that if the person does not complain it should not be a problem

We're not criticizing you Clapper. We know where the power lies here, but we're saying that that kind of policy is what makes sense to us too. It seems as if pretty much the only people who don't think so are the guys in charge.

So make sure you have the other persons consent? Isn't that exactly what DM did?

Guilty until proven innocent? On a lighter note, we're not trying to attack you clapper, you're just the only mod here and we haven't had an official statement from the admin yet.

slippery slope much?

If you think that even with consent the person should be reprimanded tell me why governments do not reprimand people for sex. It's exactly like rape, just with consent.

oh? but posting a picture of 2 people who consented to have that picture taken together is the same as posting a persons phone number for a whole site to see and have to bug that person should they choose to? and that thread in question was moved to flame wars as it was considered flaming out of flame wars.

Again with this argument? We're not criticizing you, but if you keep defending their actions we're going to keep responding to your defenses.

That comparison is fundamentally flawed. Killing or maiming someone is clearly and distinctly against the law. Posting someone's phone number after being asked to was not against the rules when the incident occurred nor could it be reasonably ascertained from the rules present at the time.

right, believe what you all want. I m done with this. You have all been told why he was banned, if you don't like it well then you will have to talk to admin, or wait for their response. I will shut up now.

Wow we had a laugh with wicked last night, i mean via her new name...

In a nut shell people

Shut up!

Mustard got banned, Suggs got raped, wicked is in court, Norse set the levels.

Chaos also went the distance as far as Mustard, but I tell you people, I never made a fuss about it.

My Opinion is this..

This is a war site, dedicated to taking people out, People die and create bonus's for others.

Mustard, as much as we love him, ha, ha

The gobby shite

Got taken out by lancaster bombers, and if any of you want to argue the toss about being banned with me, then please by all means take it to flame wars

OVER TO YOU

mod edited

(Please be warned I am not a mod, I slay mods, I welcome anyone that can fill Mustards boots).

The problem with you people on this forum is you have no expression or attitude.

There are 3 members on CC that have this, and they are..

Dancing Mustard, Prowler and chaos-factor.

In respect to DM's 4th phase ban, please create some anarchy, either here, live chat, or Flame wars

The problem is that posting your phone number is risky.

It connects your online persona to a real person. With that phone number, someone could identify the person.

I often place fake gay dating ads including phone numbers of people I don't like. The homosexuals that read the ads have no idea that they are fake. My targets are then inundated with phone calls from heavy breathing homosexuals for months. It is quite funny. This is an example of how a phone number can be used against someone.

In real life, we all take precautions. We are somewhat limited in how we act because we don't want to create enemies that have the power (ie. the convenience of being able to track us down easily) to harm us. Here, though, we are not limited in the same way. Because there is a buffer. People don't know other people's real name, or address, etc.. It makes it all safe. You can say whatever you want without fear that some psychopath will track you down. But once a phone number is revealed, that buffer is gone. A phone number can easily provide an address and a name.

So the analogy of someone giving you permission to physically harm them is valid. Because posting a person's phone number can be dangerous to that person.

If you don't believe it, post yours.

And get ready for some late night calls with plenty of heavy breathing.
