getting started

me and my friends tried starting a game and everytime one of us goes to join one that that other created, none of us are able to find(in order to join) except the original person creating game. are we missing a step? any help appreciated

Certain maps and game types cannot be joined by new recruits. For your first five games you are restricted to Standard games of 6 players or less on simple maps. Try changing the map selection to see if you can then join the game.
