I'm not sure, you might get arrested for it, but if you were you'd probably be let off the hook with no more than a fine.

I think most places it would depend on the cop, your attitude, the area you were in, and any former history you had with the cop.

In North Carolina you can be charged with a misdeamenor for assault. By the way if you spit on him here you will be charged with a felony. As stated above it all depends on the officer's mood at that moment.

At a recent show where I was an exhibitor, there was a kid that shot an officer of the law with one of those kiddy marshmallow shooters - just as I was fitting him at my booth.....we looked at each other kind of in amazement....I mean....how dumb must that kid be?? Anyway, he kinda chuckles at me, then puts on this stern cop-face and lays into the kid verbally....scared the be-jeebus outta him.....lol.

Thats similar to a snowball, yeah?

Personally, I respect the law and would never do that....I just do she-ite that I dunna get caught at.....lol

Though I'd like to throw this out there;
In my COUNTY the Sheriff has given the order/ok that if you are going to arrest someone who is physicly intimidating to you (bigger), and not imidiatly responsive; then you may tazer them to help in the arrest.
So if you're bigger than the officer, lay down quickly!

I used to spend many happy nights of my childhood throwing eggs at police cars when they went down our high street and the legging it through the school field to escape.

So in answer to your question, I don't know what would happen, just make sure the cops fat and you have your escape route planned.

Where I live, it is illegal to throw snow balls period. Considering that 80% of the time there's going to be ice in it, 10% high chance of ice in it, 5% chance it being pure ice, 4% chance of being only powder and doesn't pack, and 1% chance that there isn't any snow to even try (either summer, or all ice).

no - it's just a regular snowball. it hits and explodes into broken lightly compacted snow and some goes down the back of your neck.

You know - the perfect snowball that hits you in the ear....

I guess technically it could be construed as 'Assault on a Police Officer'. I think that might get you a Fixed-penalty fine? Possibly arrested, cautioned, charged??
