I'm sorry, but you and your friend (I say friend because you live in the same Town, and seem to work almost exactly the same job) Humpty have signed up for every tournament; and since you can only play 4 games at a time, I don't see you as being a reliable player.

I explained my situation in an e-mail,you can ask them for it, but to prevent any further problems i have instructed my wife not to play, that way there is no more finger pointing.

Hmm. Well, first off, I wish I could instruct women to do stuff and they'd comply. Secondly, you could probably allow her to play, just have the mods set up a block, so that you can't play with each other, but she'll still have access. That works sometimes.
