Which Super Bowl matchup would be the most interesting?

Personally, I think Baltimore vs. Philadelphia would be the most interesting. These are two teams with great defenses, but also an offense to match. I'd like to see McNabb try to redeem himself against one of the best D's, while Flacco tries to become the 1st rookie QB to win the Super Bowl

Well the Tampa pairing has now been sorted out... the #2 total defense & a good offense vs the #3 total offense and a good defense. The Steelers are #1 against the run and #5 against the pass, while the Cardinals are #4 in both rushing and passing... so this is a good should be a good matchup. Both of these quarterbacks have been here before and know what it takes to close the deal.

The better DEFENSE usually gives their team a playoff edge, but Arizona played well against both Atlanta, Carolina and Philadelphia on both sides of the ball. Neither of these teams have commited many errors in the playoffs so this final game should be equally tight and make for a great contest.

The Cardinal's offensive staff schemed an excellent game against a tough Eagles team and their head coach Ken Wisenhunt spent six years as a Steelers assistant coach, which included being offensive coordinator from 2004-2006 before he moved on to Arizona.

Wisenhunt wrote:I’m glad we are playing in the Super Bowl, but the reason I’m here is because of my time with Pittsburgh, and I am grateful for that.

Actually Donovan McNabb went up against one of the best in the NFL when the Eagles met the NY Giants (#3 total defense) again and who they beat the last two times they met. I think you are confused about the Baltimore Ravens who definitely have a great defense (#5 overall), but certainly no offense to match. Flacco has completed 44% of his passes with one touchdown and three interceptions for a 50.6 quarterback rating over three postseason games. As a team they've amassed a whopping 695 total yards in the playoffs, so it's the +4 turnover ratio and not the play of the offense that got them to the AFC Championship Game. They were fortunate to slip past a fumbling Tennessee Titians team who ended the year at #1 in both total offense and defense and I'm sure Pittsburgh preferred getting the Ravens at home over going to Nashville for a AFC title match.

Arizona has had to be at the top of their game to get past Carolina, Atlanta and Philadelphia and if they have one more solid performance left in the tank this should be a great Super Bowl.

Actually, I am comparing them to the 2000 Super Bowl Ravens, who had a MUCH worse offense. I think also that the Ravens' O is rather underrated. They played two of the toughest D's in Pitt and Tennessee. Either way, it doesn't matter
