I do love how there are two sides to America right now. Either Obama is Jesus re-incarnate, or he's the anti-christ. There can be no middle ground! Personally, I don't really believe in him but I do have hope that he will be the president we all want him to be.
But I don't think he is really all that different from Bush.

Getting rid of GITMO doesn't mean all that much. Bush wanted to close it. And Obama isn't closing it until a solution can be found; it's more politically motivated than anything else. Just a way to show the public that something new is happening.
Continuing with a Bush-style stimulus isn't different either.
When this isn't going on anymore, then I'll believe Obama is something new;

Obama came from my state. He didn't do anything that had a visable effect on our state. Except maybe his support for increaseing the State Police's car budget so they could buy some new engines.


Like I said though, I am hopeful. He hasn't done anything to really upset me or anything yet. Not visiting the American Legion's ball was dissappointing though.

China buys a large percentage of the worlds scrap metal.
The value of the cargo on a large ship full of scrap steel would be worth between 20 and 30 million dollars per 100000 tonnes.

the only concern I have for Obama is a small portion of his economic policy, he's encouraging citizens to buy US made products (I think) so businesses in the US can hire more people and unemployment will decrease! but competition is always necessary for a healthy economy and with this policy, international trade may start to shrink (just like it did before the Great Depression swept the developed world)...
other than that, he's a great guy
