1 N9 is fine, 1-2 A5 too, maybe 1, and you drop 1 A12 too. for the fort: you can chose to fort N3 from E1 or vice versa. You are already in North America in N9, so i would slightly prefer to fort to E1. no attack blue will try to keep A2, so maybe you lose access to Europe (and Africa) if you leave E1
Thanks Seul. Yep, see what you mean about blue maybe knocking my A5 to keep a2, so I fortified into Europe rather than out of it. Also put one on a12 as suggested.
done as suggested, but attacks didn't go too well, so now only have 5 on N5. I think next time I need to deploy them there to build up a pile again. Not sure at what point when attacking you should think, ok enough's enough and give it up that turn to try and preserve troops?
Yeah, I saw that I was next to both of Wac's positions! It's a shame blue has 2 down in SA as he would have been an ideal target with those 4 juicy cards!
Those cards will be long gone before you get a set. He'll have to cash them in low as well, probably for 4 or 6, so he'll make a good secondary target (once you can reach SA). It's good to look at how many cards someone will have when compared to you. That is, if they have 3 when you have 5, or 4 when you have 4, then they make a good target. You can't always rely on them holding 5 cards (they might cash in early!), so those two are the easiest to keep track of.
You're even with red right now (you have the same number of cards when your turn starts as he does) so you can aim for 4-4. Make sure you take cards though.

Comments I am Silver. Don't cash. I'm thinking deploy 2 on A12, 1 on A2 as orange has to cash spoils next time. Take easy card on N2 and reinforce troops from N3 to N5.
Notes about other players: Yellow is going for Europe bonus, Pink is going for Australia and cyan may possibly go for SA, but not sure on that one.
