I can't imagine how "into it," you get that it's a truly competitive "sport." From what I recall of QZAR, they didn't even allow sprinting, although you could maybe jog. Lasertag has no diving for cover, etc. It's more so "just stay covered and fireback," etc. And you only hit the little scanner thing, so shooting someone somewhere else is completely pointless.
Lasertag, no matter how intensely you take it, is still a kiddie game. Just like if you become a pro at playing monopoly jr. and you take the game seriously... it doesn't matter.
