I'm on my lunch break. A pretty late lunch - it's almost 5. I've worked for the same company since 1989. It's not very rewarding work but it's a steady job. Part of the process of dealing with a crappy job is venting your frustration to anyone who will listen. These days no one will listen. They all say I should be thankful I have a job. Sure I am but it still sucks. The economy needs to improve so that I can bitch to someone other than my wife about work. Sure there may be a few other reasons to hope for economic recovery but this is surely the main one

That's why you need someone who will pretend to pay attention. Or maybe someone who pays attention to the first part and then stops somewhere in the middle.

Lilies, daisies, Chocolate with the kinds she doesn't like replaced with ones she does and in the unlikely event either one of us has time a date. You know nothing special but something still good and it's a good bit more expensive to buy two boxes of chocolates to get rid of the ones she doesn't like and replace them with the ones she does.

My wife actually listens to my work stories. She spends all day with the baby so she is eager for any conversation. The problem is I am starting to abuse the situation by telling long rambling stories. She knows my co-workers as well as if she worked there too.
As for Valentines Day we'll have a traditional sex, drugs and rock & roll weekend.

Rambling stories can be boring.
