"Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown's cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with. "A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion. "Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. "Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' " The detective said she then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant ... who did not answer. "Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.' "After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!' "Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown. "Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand. "Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street. "Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand. "Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle ... and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it. "Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness. "She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions. "Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order." At the end of his statement, Andrews said Brown sent her text message apologizing nine days later. "In the text message, Brown apologized for what he had done to Robyn F. and advised [the second personal assistant] that he was going to get help."
Yes it is old news but they had never revealed the details of the beating. It makes it so much worse with the details...to repeatedly punch a girl in the face, choke her almost unconscious, bite her ear, and bite her hand...that's ridiculous.
I hope he ends up in prison and the inmates have their way with him. He'll come out a "new" man.

The whole thing would have been avoided had she left and in not doing so she was occupying his vehicle illegally. Do I think what he did was wrong? Yes, but I also know that she had broke the law by not leaving his car when asked to. I also know that it is legal to apply force to remove a person from a car or home when a person refuses to leave despite the owners command to do so.
The problem here is that after a point Brown's actions were not directed at getting Rihanna to leave (it's hard to claim that as the case when he was driving around while holding her in a head lock) but rather that he was abusing her for the sake of it. The initial punches may have been within his right because she refused to leave when asked but in driving away and continuing to hit her while not allowing her the option to leave he crossed a line.
Regardless she was the one who instigated the situation by picking a fight with him over his private messages and refusing to leave his car, thereby breaking the law. They both broke the law and neither one of them should get a pass. Frankly I don't care about either of them and they both will get what's coming to them in due time.

That sure sounds like he asked her to leave the vehicle.

I guess you're right, it doesn't actually state that he "asked" her to leave but I find it hard to believe that there was no verbal interaction while this was going on. I don't think anyone is arguing that she didn't understand that he wanted her to leave when he tried to force her out. Regardless, she should have got out..

Not at all.
I'm implying that she never had the opportunity to. I can't imagine her overpowering Chris Brown and getting out of the car while she was being slammed into the window and pushed around.
If she did not have the initial opportunity to leave then things are different. The article stated that Brown "attempted to force her out" which leads me to believe that she refused to leave which she was not in her right to do. It also implies that she did have an oppurtunity to leave and that she chose not to.
If he did not attempt to force her out then the situation is different than we understand it to be and the article as a whole is uncredible.

I can't disagree with this more. First, it was a rental car so it's not technically HIS property. But that's not even the issue. He tried to force her out but she had a seatbelt on, then he pushed her face into the window and then he started to punch her in the face. He could have easily stopped the car and pulled her out. Or if it is his property, call the cops, they will take care of it. Chris is obviously stronger than her and if he really wanted her out of the car, he could force her out. He didn't have to say "i'm going to be the sh*t out of you" and "I'm going to kill you" and beat her senseless while she's not even fighting back. And I agree she's an idiot for getting back with him.
What really disgusts me is you justifying his actions. I hope that's not how you treat your women. Really makes me question what type of guys are really out there.
You know, reading stories like this, it makes me really glad that no matter how hurt I've ever been, or incredibly angry, all I've ever done with a woman was speak quietly and coldly and avoiding eye contact with her.
Guys like Chris Brown need to learn restraint. Needs to learn to control his emotions.
I mean, women suck. We all know that. And lord knows they can really dig at you emotionally, when they want to. But you can't get violent. Ever.
Just leave.

The thing that caused me to finally wise up and leave my first wife was that I got so annoyed (justifiably, but this isn't the point of the story) that I almost hit her. I have never in my life hit anybody first, let alone a woman. This was so unlike me that I decided it was time to go, no matter how difficult that was going to make my life for a while.
