“Blind Date” Doubles Tournament
A doubles tournament for single players
Players: 32
Map: Classic shapes
Settings: Doubles, sequential, escalating, chained, sunny
Format: after 32 players join, doubles teams are formed by pairing the highest and lowest ranked players until the 16 teams are formed. 4 teams will form a group. Within the group, each team will play an 8-player doubles game against the 3 other teams in the group and play 3 team vs team games, 1 against each team in the group. Points are awarded as follows:
Team vs team games- 5 points winner, 0 points to loser
8-player team game- 7 points to winner, 3 points to 2nd, 1 point to 3rd, 0 points to last place
Winners of each group move to the finals, where the scores are reset to 0 and the 4 game sequence is repeated. Highest scoring team in the finals wins the tournament. Sign-ups start here:
