Why does plurality of religion make us avoid it? Just because you are not interested in religion doesn't mean other people aren't. You could just as easily say "We shouldn't talk about the Premiership, because there are lot's of different leauges" Just because you don't like the debate doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.

Forget about it, man. Let them talk about whatever they want to, you don't have to read it. Have a bit of fun with them. God-botherers are usually uptight & reactionary and are easy to tease. ...and if they don't take the bait the p.c. brigade probably will.

Your poll is set up so that someone who agrees with you would actually vote "no."

Well lets just say that talking about it cant harm and only be interesting although the other players could ask for 2 peoples to discuss it via pm's lol because it takes up chat room lol

But it should never influence or play a part in the game and never be used to insult or whatever. Just respect each other its as simple as that :) To each their own and if someone wants to call or herself jesus, fine by me :P

The 2 prime issues that arouse passionate debate in any forum are religion and politics (and of course deadbeating in CC). I have a sneaking suspicion that your next item on the see-no hear-no speak-no agenda would be politics - am i right? So what kind of happy happy joy joy pap do you have in store for us?

Religion should be kept out of in-game chat, however in the Mess Hall section of the forums, anything goes.

I don't see how it's any of your concern to control what people talk about, regardless of religion or politics. You have just as much right to post topics as anyone else, and yet you are trying to limit another person's right. hmm....hypocrisy?

Good call, Kugel.

It's probably best just to keep the rightful subjects in their rightful place (boards).

All sorts of bowlarks gets discussed on the various forums, so why not religious bowlarks?

Religion is after all a load of bowlarks.

Religion, or organized religion, and by what means, AngryAnderson?

I'm sure your answer will give us all a basis for a gentle debate/discussion. :]

A. Dunno. Seems like there is a severe dearth of ALDS missionaries in these threads.

B. Are you from STL?

I'm really confused as to how religion comes up in the chat anyway.

no need to keep religion out of it. as long as people show respect for each other's religions then it shouldn't b a problem. i don't belong to any religion but i understand why people do and respect that. i think we should keep judgemental or prejudiced remarks ABOUT religion out of CC not actual religion.

While some of the most obnoxious forumers tend to argue religious positions idiotically (a lot of them argue religion intelligibly, so i'm not dissing religion...in this thread) but you can't stop people from creating threads because they annoy you and often decay into an argument loop that repeats itself over and over.

Its not the censorship part i don't like (otherwise i'd be vehemently anti-anti-spam) its the i don't like these people even though they're doing what this forum was designed for so lets ban their topics that i disagree with.

Come on folks, This is the same thing that has been going on in the U.S. for years now. Arguing that religious debate should be kept out is in fact engaging in a religious debate.

The underlying message seems to be an attempt to spread atheism (by saying that we should keep religion out) all the while trying to cast anyone who disagrees with you in a bad light for spreading their own beliefs (because others might disagree and be offended). I agree it is very hypocritical. Everyone in the forum is here by choice and everyone has the power of the ignore list.
