Map Rank Scoreboard Server

Just had a look and I have a feelng most will see this scoreboard as THE scoreboard before too long. I would think that ideally all the top 1,000 should be included to get a true measure of ability. Not all have map rank and so a lot of good players are not represented yet...including me ( ) but I hope a map ranking guardian angel will be updating me on to the board soon enough!

Once more players are up it will be very intersting to check just how players are making their points.

Just out of curiousity, why does it show some of the players' Relative Rank as 0.000?

They need to be Map Ranked with version 1.2.2 as this gives Relative Rank info. Previous versions did not.

Chip - Perhaps you could save the number of missing logs on the Scoreboards too... so that people know how accurate others scores are.

Love the idea of an MVP...

Perhaps Chip you might write yourself a version of map rank that you can set going every week or so - that reads the top (say) 1000 players - then map ranks them through to the scoreboard automagically! (I don't know whether your schedule could accomodate this - or Lacks servers - I guess during a low point in server usage would be good!)

Well, missing logs is a quick change but needs another version of Map Rank so I'll leave that to settle for a bit before I get more complaints.

As for the second suggestion... a big loop would do it, yes, but not really good on CC servers or my PC. I'm having seconds thoughts about doing a Map Rank all which is nowhere near as bad.

Top 10 lists are now Top 50 lists so if you didn't think you qualified before,try again now!

i think thsi would be a massive improvement because of the number of scoreboards we have at the moment.

There could be 3 levels of map ranking to ease time it would take:

Specific map ranks: using game finder or the mao select field
Current Player map Rank: does oeverall map ranks fro everything as it is now
Scoreboard Rank: a longer map rank taht separatly updatyes your map ranks for all the current avaiable scoreboards

this would mean people would still be able to do a quick map rank of themselves without having to wait for all the scoreboard searches to be done

don't know how hard this would be on your front chip but i just think this is a logical solution

It is difficult. I did look into doing this, but didn't have the time.
It would be embedded into the current code so it won't take longer, just do more adding up. A lot more.
