i absolutely love the new australia map.

i won on it today Jan. 19 2007.

do u guys like it?

yep i won a doubles game on it the other day and i think its pretty good but it should b kept to 4 players or less

I like it.

I agree with Guidocks, the map is definately suited to 4p or less. I think 4p is ideal and then everyone has the chance to grab a continent early.

why doesnt one of the three people that hate it tell us why otherwise this thread just becomes repetitive. Even better why dont those who hate it leave feedback in the map thread.

I voted hate, but don't like it would be better suited.

but that could be because the few games I played on it were 6p games. So gonna give it a try with a few less and see how I like it than

Just won a 6 player game and it was very fun. I enjoy playing on a smaller area where theres not so much chance of a player simply gaining a secure continent and building up until he can wipe out everyone. In the Classic Map, although its fun, you can sit in Australia bulding your troops whilst two players scrap over N and S america with no hope of reaching you.

It's not a bad map.... some of the borders are a bit funky, and holding onto a continent is tough, but overall I've enjoyed playing on it.

Then again, I (and four others) just got absolutely waxed by Jonsvoll in an escalating game, so my australia-enjoyment index is a bit low.

i like it. 3 player games r gd on it coz u don't get 6 armies simply for territories wich makes defending impossible. its a gd map and i particularly like small maps

I won the first time i played it but the map is a little small for me. I do think it is a great map with a lot of attack routes, however it is not one of my favorites.

Try not to play on escalating cards and you should be fine im on round 29 in an Australia game right now due to there only being 2 people left and we keep fighting over the middle of the map. every 3-4 turns we both get a set of new cards

i usually get that middle orange country and i go on to take west australia which wins me the game

i prefer to take the Eastern half of the map and concentrate on taking over a part of the other 2-3 so they don't get the bonus and i do
