I am proposing a Russia and China at War map with lots of Red and Yellow shades.

Not yet sure if it will be based on Tom Clancy's Bear and the Dragon or actual historical China-Russia border clashes.

i like this idea and think it could work, how big were you thinking of making this? It's a really large area so it could be a big map but as there is nothing there you could have massive territories. If your making it like the book would that include a US task force?

Well if you go over some maps for the region we can discuss it more. You could maybe have the Chineese get something special for attacking and the Russians something else for defending. If you want to follow the book you might have US planes in there too. Give it a look over and we'll start setting out some reagons

I am sorry to disappoint you but Merciless has no plans on creating this map, it was a joke/flame bait, if you want to make it, I say go ahead

If your looking for an origional Idea though, why not try something about like city politics where each player has to sort of fight over controling different regions of the city and gain influence by controling all of like the middle class or like all of acedemia. There could be like forgin powers and other stuff, you could probably make a pretty good map with it, and I don't think anyone had tried anything like it yet.

A thread going right now which is somewhat in this vein is Gangs of Toronto, where the police, the politicians and the gangs fight round robin (rock-paper-scissors) for control of the city. Look here: Gangs of Toronto

Merciless Wong....a long time ago...as an aside to the Forbidden City map, i researched the Russo-Japanese War which engulfed Russia, Manchuria and Japan.
Would you like something like this if i did in shades of reds and yellows other appropriate shades since it will involve Japan and Korea.
