Frankly, their both assholes, but O'Reilly consistantly has higher ratings, along with most political pundits on Fox.

As a Libertarian (radical, I'm not sure), I can tell you there are NO high profile news people, pundits, commentators or journalists who share all of my views. From a purely economic perspective, I can get on board with someone like Rush Limbaugh. However, when it comes to social issues, I get on board with Janine Garafolo.

But, to your point, it is indeed all relative.

See, the different here is this - I will readily admit (and readily accuse) that Glenn Beck is conservative and completely inappropriate many times. I'll also admit Glenn Beck is ridiculous in many of his assertions and how he gets his point across.

However, you (and others) refuse to admit that Olbermann, Anderson Cooper, Rachel Madow, John Stewart, and Stephen Colbert do anything wrong. At least, that's my problem with you and snorri and player (who I really, really want to refer to as just playah). I admit that there's media bias on both sides. You have not acknowledged, to my knowledge, that any media bias exists on one side.

For the record, in middle school we had Channel One (a news station for young people). One of the anchors was... Anderson Cooper (a/k/a Cobalt Steele). Among other things, he went to Bosnia during the war... for Channel One. The dude is a machine.

He really is. Now that you bring it up, I may have seen that broadcast before... I don't remember seeing Cobalt Steele on it, but I remember something similar. It may have just been a competing broadcast, but it was a similar concept.

I have seen them, and I mostly agreed with him. Criticism is not the same as bias.

Other than the language used (Mr. Olbermann is the most well-spoken person I've ever heard), there is no difference really. The real difference, for you, is that you hate President Bush and you like President Obama. To me, when someone listens to what another says, simply because they like what he has to say, that proves to me that there is a bias. To me, when one has to "agree" or "disagree" with the news, it's no longer news.

Anyway, I'd be interested to know your take on Mr. Olbermann's comparison of Bush's policies to locking up the Japanese-Americans during World War Two, and how that compares to what Glenn Beck has said and done.
