i am staunchly opposed to assault weapons and concealable pistols though, as those are completely unnecessary unless you intend to commit a crime. there is also absolutely no reason to just walk around in public with a gun in your belt and outlawing it is a public good. prove me wrong.

I carry a gun most everywhere I go. I carry it for self defense. It is a last resort. I conceal it so that I do not scare the shit out of liberal pussies that see a gun and shit their pants because they were not raised with an understanding of what it is and what it is for. I thank God for the founding Fathers and the second amendment to the Constitution.

I own a gun and am not overly disturbed by this fact. Nowadays, anyone who carries a gun around a supermarket or gas station is acting irresponsibly and should be questioned as to their intent. It's kind of common sense.

That's bullshit. What good can owning a gun be if you don't carry it. Fat lot of good having it will so if you keep it locked away. Keep it on your person and use it responsibly. Only as a last resort and only if you are in danger.

Why on Earth would you need a gun to go to the supermarket unless you are a police officer or about to rob the place?

Did Jesus carry a weapon?
Did he encourage his followers to?
If he'da had a gun he might not have been crucified. And a half-dozen Roman soldiers woulda died for our sins instead.

the second amendment was written back before we had a federalized standing army, when militias were the only form of self-defense the nation had for itself, and when there was a serious threat of invasion by a foreign power. it is about as relevant to the modern america as hamilton's insistence that paper money is "wicked."
also i am not certain why you are so vehement in calling me a pussy. should i ever meet you and should your dumb ass ever accidentally fire your concealed weapon at me, i will simply deflect the bullet with the power of my own intellectual superiority (i am that awesome).
i am merely concerned for the less utterly powerful women, children, and sissy men you may harm

Wrong. If Jesus had a gun He wouldn't have used it. You don't think He could have stopped those Romans if He wanted to? It was part of the plan, my friend, that He die so that we could live.
This is why I do not own a gun. (even though I sometimes carry one at work) I can't think of a single situation Jesus would use a gun, so I don't think I will ever need one.
captain.crazy wrote:Thanks Jay, thats kinda what I was getting at. The first time, Jesus came here to divide us. To bring the word and have us all decide where we stand on His truth... to we embrace it or reject it. When He returns, He is going to kick ass. No guns will be necessary then. I am buessing that Jones is not a Christian, because he does not know this.

And the only ones who will have these weapons is the government. Do you trust your government that much, that you would freely allow them to be the only one's armed? I think our forefathers understood the danger of this and is why they protected the right to bear arms in the Constitution.

This stat is pretty old, but wal*mart had 23,000 car jackings and/or rapes/assualts a year in the US.
