Newbie game

Post by Skittles! »

Alright. mafia in decline. Check. Newbie game needed. Now check.
Please go here if you do not know many of the rules of mafia

It's C9 (clicky). That means 7 players.

Theme can be Half-Life 2. With only 7 players, this should be easy to go on, and as more players come into mafia, Half-Life 2 will feature its own full mafia game, not just a C9.

ALIVE:
1. Simon Viavant
2. Mr. Squirrel
3. Hologram
4. wcaclimbing
5. sully800
6. e_i_pi
7. Hopscotcher

DEAD:

REPLACEMENTS:
AceArtemis

RULES:
1. I am the mod. You shall abide by my rules. Failure to do so might cause me to reconsider your participation in the game. If you feel I did something wrong, contact me via PM (unless it's about a vote count, you can say that in the thread).

2. You will not edit or delete any posts under any circumstances.

3. You will not quote any PMs you receive from me. You will not reveal the colour of your role, the amount of words in your role PM or anything that might be considered a way around quoting your PMs. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, don't hesitate to ask me (via PM).

4. Votes and unvotes must be in bold (E.g. vote Skittles!). If you vote two or more times consecutively without an unvote in between them, then the first vote will be the one that gets tallied.

5. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote; once the majority has been reached any unvotes will not be counted.

6. Days will last approximately 4 real life days (96 hours). If there is no majority of lynches for that day, then it will counted as a non-lynch. In comparison, Nights will last 48 hours, and failure to send in a night action (if you have one) then it is too late when the next day starts.

7. If you do not post for 48 hours, you will be prodded. You will receive a maximum of one prod every day. If you do not post for 48 hours for the second time on a day, you will be replaced.

8.Once I send you a PM to tell you that I am replacing you, you are out of the game, so no more talking.

9. Once you are killed, you are dead, so no more game related talking. However, it is advisable to not say anymore other than "good luck [insert faction here]".

10. No game related posting in the game thread during nights. Some spam is okay.

11. If you have any questions or doubts, PM me.
Thank you to Stroop who I borrowed these rules from, and then modified.

/In as replacement. I want to save the spots for newbies interested in playing mafia, but I can replace a deadbeat to keep the game active.

BUMP, anyone looking to join a game this is the perfect place to start, no one will care if you make wee mistakes and the best way to understand mafia is to play it :) And once you get the basics start it's great fun.

No not at all, I play in games were I know nothing of the theme at all. The theme makes little difference in terms of gameplay except from when fake claiming.

:( No, I didn't bounce again. I just didn't post. I have a tendency to not edit the first post until I get everyone, and it seems like I got every spot. Give me a few more hours and I'll have the PM's out.

Okay, I have some bad news. It's come at an unfortunate moment, but hopefully we can do this..

  • My dad turned off the power without telling me - and so I have lost the introduction, and what peoples roles are. However, hopefully I can remember most of them (if not, I can just jumble them up). Luckily, some people already have their roles.
  • My parents are really angry at me. This means I have less time on the computer, and maybe no time for CC at all.

I wish to still do this, so maybe I can slip in a few minutes each day to be able to mod this. Don't be put off, I'm going to try my hardest to juggle my school work (which is going to be way above my free time) and my free time (of which I have too much).

Maybe we need a more active mod to do this game.

Yeah, well, I had almost finished everything, and then everything went ka-poot. I'm not having the greatest of weeks, and I am feeling very stressed. I don't have time to do this. Sorry, but whatever.

I can take over for you and mod if the people who signed up still want to do it. I know nothing of the theme, though, so I would need your role PM's, or I can just do a themeless game, which is probably easier for newbs.

If you don't know the theme, I suggest you do it themeless or come up with one that you do know (honestly, pick anything. My first mafia had a cheese theme...).

You can sign me up as replacement on stand-by too.
