Just because I have a picture of a hot chick as my avatar doesn't mean I'm her.
Hmm, that is indeed one of the most important rules of internet
kwanton wrote:Day/night mafia sounds reasonable actually. hadn't thought of that. I haven't read up on the backstory of OotS (besides that post that I stopped reading when it got up to snow white) but is there anything that could be culty? 15 person game, 3 mafia (nale's group), 1 cult leader (main bad guy lich thing) and 11 split between pr townies and non-malicious 3rd party (survivors and sorts). that's how I'd do it at least.
I really doubt that main bad guy lich thing and associates aren't "the" mafia. Perhaps the Linear Guild is a second mafia, but I also sort of doubt that. I still think that Nale is third party...
I really wonder why Kwan mentions a cult leader which doesn't fit the role of the guy at all, and it reminds me that in 85% of the cases where a random role is evoked it is by the bearer of that role (MUOTS Institute, 2007, a cookie for who guesses the initials ); and what seems to corroborate this being true in the present case is that Stroop presents an argument in a very Kwantonesque way. But why, you ask?! BECAUSE KWANTON IS A CULT LEADER THAT RECRUITED STROOP! This is the only explanation.
Unvote Vote Kwan

I don't understand how people can still think nale is 3rd party.
He is a busdriver, the only point of a 3rd party busdriver is to confuse the hell out of people, and this seems a lot less likely than two scum groups. Although this is illy were talking about lol.

Nale makes sense as a busdriver + Nale makes sense as third party = Nale makes sense as a third party busdriver.
Maybe simply a survivor win condition, or maybe something involving Elan for which he could us his awesome bus driving skills. That's how I still think Nale is 3rd party.

Why would a survivor need to busdrive?
Something invlving elan as in what exactly?
unvote vote stroop for being skoff's scum buddy.

To increase his chances of winning by helping one side win?

How should I know? Nale's hate for Elan is what motivates the Linear Guild to annoy the OotS throughout the story, so it's a good possibility.

So nale is part of a guild? Yes he is clearly operating on his own.
And why would he be grey instead of the usual green for 3rd party.

What's a busdriver in the context of mafia games? And why would Iliad have to conform to some arbitrary conventions about what colours different parties have?

you seem dead set that Nale is third party, when he could really be anything, even a mafia busdriver. This tells me that you know third party exists. Since it is day 1 and we have no information, the only way you know Nale is third party is if you are third party or Mafia. Which to town is an acceptable lynch either way and will give us information.

I'm part of a study group, yet I study alone all the time.
Usual green for third party? I don't use green for third party and I'm pretty sure other mods didn't use it in some games I played, so why should Iliad? Just because of this, I'll probably use a different color every time from now on

Mafia busdriver would have been called just that, I assume. Sorry if my assumptions don't match with yours.
What's this busdriver thing everyone is going on about?

Next time you should use "Player A", "Player B" and so on instead of names.
So pmc is planning to kill Stroop. I see.

By this assumption, he should have been called Thrid Party Bus Driver if he was third party or Town Bus driver if he was town. None of which he was called.
