Hi all, I was just reading through the rules and noticed this. Thought I would have some fun with clarification from an official.

If players are tied at the end of 18 holes, the first tiebreaker will go to whichever player ended up winning the most maps that were "halved". If it remains deadlocked, a 19th hole will be played to decide who advances.

I'm enjoying the format and having a great game with zissou2. We have arrived at the 19th and are mid-game.

You are correct...you have won that match based on winning the two "halved" holes. I simply forgot to check for that before sending out the tiebreaker this morning...well done.

i am pretty mad...that my guy has missed way to many turns to use it against me. I am losing cause he misses a turn. plays then next one and then deploys the troops he missed the turn before. it is getting really old

sorry about that...sometimes players just miss turns because they are out of town, especially in the summer months...that could be possible?

It seems that the new rule to deploy after your turn has been a deterrent to abusing that rule...seems in most cases it hurts the player who misses a turn. Either way, sorry it's been a frustrating match for you.

he has missed atleast 6 turns...in which he had the upper hand and i had a set and wiped most of his troops out but had no defense so next turn he gets few back but then he lays down a 9 or higher which i have no way to beat...there goes that game along with many others

Scorecards are now updated...all first-round matches are in and many of the second-round bouts are nearing a close...the third-round will get underway as matches become available early next week.

Scorecards and brackets updated...two more advance into the third round with #38 Don 1 pulling off the biggest upset so far with a 7&5 win over the No. 6 seed. Also advancing is #3 BaldAdonis with a 4 & 3 win.

Third-round scorecards are out for those that want a preview, and third-round matches have been started for Pod C. Good luck as the field narrows into the Sweet 16.

Plash Ricrem blamed his long layoff as a factor in falling behind to JCKing 1-2 through 3 holes. "It was rough, he really had the drop on me the first hole (going first on Iwo Jima dropping me to a 3 drop my first turn 5147296). The second hole wasn't any better, being a tricky dog leg (France with a strange drop 5147300). Luckily I picked things up on the 3rd hole (5147302) and hopefully have shaken off the rust with many holes left.
