btw... will the points still count for the final round? Or will the winner of the final round be the tournament winner, no matter how many points the others have collected.

The winner of the final round will win the tournament. The points will be very useful in the last couple of rounds though as there are so many maps! The person with the most points will get a special mention in the congratulations at the end of the tournament though. Next year the Grand World Marathon 2010 however will be entirely points-based
