sorry for the long time between updates but we are still waiting for the final game but I decided to get the next round ready in a sense that we can start 3 of the 4 groups

thank you to all those who didnt quite make it (bottom 3 of each group).. it was a hard fought series and you all deserve kudos
the one special mention goes to a tie for 3rd place in group #1 and as to the tie breaking procedures set out in the first post, tiebreakers are person with the most kills and in this case, bignick3833 just beat out slickstick for the win by one kill!
it is unfortunate but Dominator7 had to be booted for not joining and Sun Tzup (who was invited first after DOminator7) never replied and therefore banana_hammocks gets a second breath of life in this tournament (and of course is pitted back in my group!)
still waiting for the end of the last game in round 1 which should hit the 20 round max in a short time... then we can fully undergo the last group!
reporting is probably the slowest I've ever seen and the games chosen seem to be the longist variants..ie options that run n run
This tournament seemed fun when first read but now its a chore, a slow, painful chore...................
I'm sorry you think so but it is the best I can handle while juggling work, school and taking turns. I've tried implementing only certain maps but then much fewer people were interested and the tournament wouldn't be as fun.

From group #1: bignick3833, Tracita and Evil Semp were the players to progress. Special recognition goes to abel for finishing one point out of 3rd place - SO CLOSE! Better luck next time.
From group #2: graulenst and Lindax are through so far with one game left. Currently King Tet holds 3rd but anything can happen in this close last game.
From group #3: It is wayyyyyyy too close to call right now with any player still able to earn a birth. With this one last game going, it will be super exciting to see how things play out.
From group #4: Blitzaholic, bonus_mop and CaptainMoo all made the next cut!

with group #3 finishing up its last game, it sits that igozd has made the next round while it currently sits that LZND661 and silverback111 bar a miracle but the official result will be released when the game has been finished.
in term of group #2, indeed, as chansigril has mentioned before (your math was correct), chansigril will be joining Lindax and graulenst into the semifinals. A close fight to end versus King Tet for that last spot - thx for playing King Tet!!
