Would Las Vegas work as a map?

If done properly, it could be a beautiful map with interesting gameplay. My two concerns are:

1. It may fall into the Japan trap - the strip has a very linear design.

This could be combatted with the monorail and strip itself. The strip would be a no-man's land where you lose armies in the desert heat, but could make travel quick. There are also back roads that could make things more circular.

2. Are we allowed to use hotel names?

I haven't drawn anything yet, but here's an idea of the shape of Las Vegas. This map is something like what I'm thinking of.

maybe try scaling it down a bit. I mean it does seem a tad big, though it does a potential I think.

The map, gleaned from Dollar Rent a Car, is simply a large graphic. If you look at the hotels and such, they don't add up to an overwhelming number of territories :)

How about there only be the famous hotels on The Strip, like the Excalibur, New York New York, MGM Grand for example?

we discussed this months ago... holy crap, it was two years ago actually. it would be a great idea but require some serious graphics work.

dont tell incandenza, he may faint when he sees this, i wanted a zodiac or space map with Z , atlantis underwater map and casino or las vegas map forever, all 3 finally may get done, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

just so you know, their is no more aladdin casino, it was converted into planet hollywood, i was just there last year when they finalized the conversion, also their is the wynn casino made 3 years ago, and i seen that occur as well ;)
