So I voted, and after, I read the previous posts. I JUST KNEW the damn dice rolls weren't random. You really can tell when a major losing streak is about to hit, and stop there - I wasn't dreaming. I wonder how many of the really active players know this, and have already written down the unvarying sequences?
So my question is - why not random dice rolls? It can't be beyond the skill of the site programmers - not with a game this good.

What good would having such a sequence written down do you??? Give you a warm and fuzzy feeling of imagined security when you lie in bed thinking about it?

Because it (most likely) isn't needed. If you could present a flaw in the current method that means the dice is biased, predictable or anything else that is unwanted then please do so and I'm sure that lack would listen, but so far I haven't seen any of the dice complainer being able to do that.

Please explain how "you know" the dice aren't random... and regardless of what you perceive as a completely recordable sequence, how many players do you think might be simultaneously rolling dice that could have an effect on the numbers you receive?
It may look as if its not random, but it is, the problem is a dice does not have a memory. To explain: Q: What is the probability of a dice rolling a 6 seven times in a row? A: 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 * 1/6 = 1/279936 or in other words VERY unlikely, now after the dice has rolled the seven 6's what is the probability that the 8th roll will be a 6? The answer is........... one in six. A DICE HAS NO MEMORY, this no memory fact is why people loose there life savings on roulette by believing if they double their bet and add one every turn they must win, as they wrongly believe that black can't come up 20 times in a row and if it does then the 21 time cant possibly be black again well it can be and will be 50% of the time.
the other day i grabbed five M&M's from a bag of M&M's and they were all brown.
I am writing to the company to get my money back, as I thought I had an equal chance at getting different colored M&M's. In every bag of M&M's I should get exactly the same number of each color, and then when I grab out of that bag, if I grab five, I should get a blue, green, brown, orange and red. (Unless its a bag of skittles, then it won't happen).
After you roll a 6, the probability that the next roll is going to be a 6 is 1/6. Not 1/6*1/6, etc. Gambler's fallacy. For surefire statistical proof of this, read Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
It looked to me that the dice aren't random they look like they roll to keep someone with over 10 armies but less than 30 from taking over more than 26 squares, The dice give more chances to survive than random rolls. This keeps people playing than leaving.

1/6 to the power of 6 IIRC -> 6/7776 = 1/1296 = 0.0008%.

Snake eyes usually referees to rolling 2 "1"'s and CC doesn't ever roll just 2 dices so...
you dont think that the defender dice are possible to be snake eyes? they are 2 dice there.
The probability of rolling 5 dice and having them all come up the same is 0.0008 (not 0.0008%). Very unlikely if you roll them once and quit. However, if you roll them 1000 times there is a 54% probability that they will all come up all the same at least once.

the dice are random, but random is not neccessarily fair. if you want to play a game that doesnt involve random components, might i suggest a classic game of 'kick the can'
Each time combat is initiated, the game engine will generate a random intensity level for each troop involved. The outcome is determined by the intensity of the assaulting troops versus the intensity of the repelling troops. There are 6 possible intensity levels that may be assigned, listed here from weakest to strongest:

The dice are LOADED, it is a fact -
Read this exerpt from the game instructions --

You fail...this is just their way of talking about the die rolls. the "intensity" of each troop is the result of the dice roll. The dice are random and aren't even generated by this site. They're generated by www.random.org.

wat r the odds of rolling 2 dice that r snake eyes. is it not 8% chance?

Considering the wast amount of dice rolls made by us here that's not surprising. I have probably managed such a roll myself but I don't remember seeing it, IMO that is far stranger.

well... also wut if you attacked with 2 dice on a territory that only had 1 devender... that would only be 2 dice rolled. also think about just the defender dice. you can have snake eyes there.

I agree with you 100 %. There are many on here that believe the rolls are random, because that is what they are told. They will tell you CC hires out a random generator and all this and all that. Sometimes it is a little hard to believe though, no doubt I have more trouble with the higher ranks when it comes to the dice.
