No one seems to really care about a balanced budget now that President Obama is in office. During President Bush's tenure, people were all over him for his reckless spending (and rightfully so). Now, we here nary a word from MSNBC and the like. When President Bush was overspending I heard nothing except "Where are his Republican values" and "What an idiot," etc., etc. I don't hear that right now. It's bothersome. Not as bothersome as the spending itself, but bothersome nonetheless.

Hypocrisy is all that counts. Obama never claimed to be a fiscal conservative.

Btw, if you looked at history you'll realise that a democrat spending big to help reduce the deficit that previous republicans created actually helps in the long run.

Yes, I've heard the "spend your way out of bankruptcy" argument before. Why don't you try it with your own finances, and prove that it works. I blame all the previous presidents for the 11trillion obama was faced with when he took office. When he doubles or tripples it to 20 or 30 trillion in the next 4 years...then I will blame him for the vast majority of it....

I don't think the construction of gas guzzlers was due to President Bush, so much as the demand for "gas guzzlers" by the American people.
