Chris, you're safe. You're going to win Senate and then I can't catch you. I agree with the wins thing. Although the meta strategy of scoring points is nice, it is very vulnerable to distortion by the worst players in the group as I found out.

I'll stick to the madness tournaments in the future. Good luck in the finals.

Are you really saying that I am the worst player?

"it is very vulnerable to distortion by the worst players in the group as I found out."

I just played to the rules set out at the start of the tournament. Implying that I am a bad player for doing so is bad sportsmanship.

Now I am completely confused by the scoring as the "official" scoring is something way different. I don't know who to attack in these final games.

I don't believe I named any names. You're reading something into my statement I didn't say.

I don't like playing games where some of the players are playing not to win. Simple as that. The players whose goal is something other than winning a game are the ones I have a problem with. Hanging someone because of bad dice or misclick to advance is something every player will do. Deliberately throwing a game to someone else is not. Clear enough?

Edit: Look no further than the forbidden city game you won today. Clear cut suicide is the only reason you won. Sorry, but that kind of behavior is what rubs me the wrong way.

And I would query the scoring of the objective wins too...

He's not naming names, he's just saying the player cost him the game used cheap tactics he didn't like, which is me when you go to the actual game.

Dan, just call me out next time and quit dancing around it, we all know who you are talking about. You don't like the way I play because my play in some games kept you from advancing. Well, I'm sorry that you don't like this style of play, but I am not playing to win every single game. This is a tournament, and by its very nature, it is not how you play every individual game, but how you play the games as a whole. I play to score enough points to get me in the next round of the tournament and that is how you should play too. Yes, I threw some games to some players to manipulate the overall scores, that's how tournaments work. I sat back in some games to take second and in some games I threw some players to the wolves so that I could score higher. This isn't unsportsmanlike and this isn't improper, its just not the style you like playing.

I suggest if you want a tournament where wins are what count, then quit playing tournaments like these. This tournament isn't about who wins the most games. If that were the objective of this tournament I would have played completely different to win every single game. But this tournament isn't about the individual games but all the games combined, and to that end my play was justified. You didn't advance and I'm sorry my play rubs you the wrong way. Hopefully your attitude will improve with future tournaments.

I went ahead and took the score from the spreadsheet posted on this forum sight from brandoncfi and added the games that finished since then.

Here are the results to the second.

Lisbon101 - 701 (1 game left)
Jondalar - 644 (1 game left)
Vikermac - 641 (2 games left)
colson - 627 (1 game left)
--------cut line---------
Xeathy - 623 (2 games left)
danryan - 619 (0 games left)
Grape Ape - 545 (1 game left)

This includes 7 points for Xeathy for game 66. If he can win that game then he would add 3 more to his total with only 1 game left. However, it looks like Vikermac is going to win 66 if he has a trade in with his 4 cards.

I didn't have the set and the only way Xeathy can lose that one now is if he just screws it all up big time.

Current points totals:

Lisbon101 - 702 (1 game left)
Jondalar - 645 (1 game left)
Vikermac - 642 (1 games left)
colson - 628 (1 game left)
--------cut line---------
Xeathy - 626 (0 games left)
danryan - 619 (0 games left)
Grape Ape - 546 (1 game left)

I think this is correct (this is unofficial). It looks like these are the final standings.

Colson,
I won game 66. I believe there should be an extra 3 points on my total.

Yes those points were already in your totals since 2 people were already out of game 96 when those totals were added. You being the next one out kept you at 3 points while everyone else went up 1 point (since the all are getting 4 points instead of 3 points).

I double checked the numbers and if the current spreadsheet on this Forum board is correct then my totals are correct and you finished with 626 points and 5th place.
