Since then, Neptune1 has issued 5 new ratings (comparing ratings left, find games for each rating looking at the date/time respective game ended for these five ratings). All 5 new ratings issued have been 1-1-1. I believe that this should constitute continuous rating abuse and that the sanctions against this should be notched up one step on the relevant ladder used sanctioning this kind of behavior. After having received a warning, the behavior in question should immediate cease.

neptune1 is a chronic abuser. he also likes to send abusive PM's and then start bogus C&A threads against members when he loses to them. i have had the pleasure of him stalking my games simply to give me poor ratings, after losing soundly to me and jbrettlip. his, across the board, one star rating of me was laughable. here is the bogus C&A thread started about me and jbrettlip.
Neptune1 is the only member on my foe list, and that means alot, especially if you know me and my feelings about the foe list. Neptune 1 is a chronic abuser of the ratings, game chat and PM's... i doubt anything will be done about him, but it would be nice if he was finally give a mini-vacation for his non-stop abusive behaviour towards other members...-0

As I see it - only when the game is archived will the new or changed rating appear, i.e. 5 days after completion of the game. I take the view (albeit this could be interpreted otherwise) that a rating is handed out at the time it goes into effect, i.e. when the game is archived. These 5 games were archived after the warning. It means that the 5 ratings were still under Neptune1's control at the time of the warning. By not changing them, he continued the abuse.

he received a warning? and then continued the same behaviour? this has to be dealt with. i was given a warning for responding to his abusive PM's, based solely on my "reputation"... so, i don't believe my serious accusation about him was ever taken seriously. it is nice to see another prominent member finally standing up about this, because it wasnt' taken seriously when i did... the chickens are coming home to roost!-0

Update: Neptune1 was formally warned for rating abuse on Friday, August 7th, 2009 at 03:51. Additional ratings that have been posted (through the games now being archived) have now surfaced. Again, IMO the action of handing out ratings become effective once a game is archived and, thus, the user cannot any longer influence or control the ratings. Consequently, after his warning, Neptune1 has allowed abusive ratings to continue to be handed out.

In a slight defense of him, you're assuming that he logged on between the time the warning was sent and that game rating for confx was archived. As well as having the time to change the ratings. In my mind, I would include those with the previous warning and start counting toward the next punishment step with the rating he left for steon2007.

I don not see why he is not responsible for the ratings made effective subsequent the date/time of the warning. A slight grace period may be in order, but 5-days is way too long. Doesn't make sense to differ between action and inaction as he had complete control over the ratings citet above.

I totally agree with alstergren on this! I really dont understand why ppl like Neptune are allowed for being abusive and talking trash. To be honest, it takes my fun away. I have seen plenty of players like him. Even more abusive players like him. After the game he wrote in gamechat he would put me on the foelist Well I dont care about the ratings, because of this. Many ppl giving a poor rating for nothing. I think the ratings are really a mockery
It is the new environmental laws, governing protected species. He probably thinks that since mods don't remove ratings, if he is going to get hanged for the offense he may as well make sure he is hanged for as much as possible, do as much damage to peoples reputation whilst the powers that be dither away. Of course I've been accused of been cynical in the past. He could genuinely feel that the players all deserved those ratings........

well, i figured it was because i reported it, and eventually ended up being warned for pm's i sent to him in retaliation for his abusive pm's... however, i was told to foe him and move along... that did not and does not solve the problem if him continually abusing players in pms, game chat and RATINGS... his ratings abuse is easily proved with a simple glance of his ratings left. i have full confidence in king and lance, i'm sure he'll get more than a warning, as this is not his first offense in the C&A's... i'm pretty sure he received a 3 day ban at the same time i received mine...-0

he won't learn his lesson... i hope this is the first step in his getting booted... he is truly a detriment to the site, and actually adversely affects all of us by running off new recruits with his abusive behaviour... this is not his first trip into C&A, and his last childish post shows exactly why... i hope the mods keep an eye on his activities... someone like this is far worse than a person that posts off colour remarks in the forums. why doesn't team CC crack down where adverse behaviour actually matters, in the games?...-0
