Ok this announcement i want to make as clear as possible so if there are any questions, please ask.
during the second call i gave the links to the three games (yes i understand that it was wrong on my part) in one pm. As people can see, ARTY has joined 3 of them. this post will adress those 3 and how i plan to run them.

ARTY's originally assigned game was [game]5277248[/game] (Game 1)this one will be played like all the others. 8 players, top 6 advance.

Next is the one that was originally BigBallinStalin's [game]5277253[/game] (Game 5). He has, since the second call, informed me that he won't be able to compete in this tournoment. The way that this will go down is:
The top 6 will still be the ones to advance, unless
ARTY is one of the top 6, then the top seven, not including ARTY, will advance to give a total of six

The last of the 3 is the most difficult to work with and the one i dont have all my info to.
The game that was originally dead-meat's [game]5277249[/game] (Gmae 2). I haven't heard any reply from dead-meat yet. If i dont hear any reply from him by 11:40 today (EST) then the 72 hours will have past and i will play it exactly like BigBalinStalin's game. If i do then i will have to remake a game and make the 7 players and dead-meat (the original 8 for game 2) join a new game. this means that if he does reply, the game being played will have NO effect on this tourny.

I am very sorry for the inconvienance. I am learning the ropes of directing a tourny and i take full responsibility.
New stuff going into this tourny:
A unique random password will be used to join each of the games from round 2 and up
PMs (except the 1st call game invite) will be sent on an individual basis.

EDIT: No reply from dead-meat so game 2 will follow the same procedure as game 5
I will actually be using the new feature of the game invite instead of what i listed above so i will be the only one to know the passwords and it will be on an individual basis That should clear up the issue

hey all
i will be away the week of August 2nd - 8th and there is a 0% chance of me having internet access. No, i won't have a sitter be in charge of the tourny. The tourny proceedings will go for this week then resume on the 8th which will probably be the start of round 2.

Hi all,
now that our reserve list has been fully used up, i am installing the "2nd Chance" rule that i have seen be used in other tournies quite effectivley. Here's a quote of how i wrote the rule from my first tournoment.

FYI: Because of the small reserve list and people still no-showing, in order to fill game i am going to use the second chance.

How this will work is i will take the people who finished 2nd to last in the previous round, place their names into random.org, then determine who will get the second chance. This player will continue through the tournoment had they not been eliminated in the first place. You will only get one second chance for the duration of the tournoment. However, if everyone joins, there will be no second chance recipiants that round.

If there are any questions, don't hesitate to ask. this rule will go into effect starting next round.
