Look, this was an obvious parody of the big stink Beck and others made over Obama's birth certificate, and it kind of ruins the joke to explain it like this, but, I'm never sure when you're kidding and when you're serious.

luns, I'm sure you're kidding, but I do hope I'm not coming across as anything other than having a good time at Mr. Beck's expense (after all, he makes money at all of our expense), I'm not actually upset about Beck, he's just an easy (and very deserving) target of as much ridicule as possible (I mean, it's just allowing him to reap what he sows). And, say what you will about Olbermann and Maddow, they can be polemical, but unlike Beck, they scruples about things like making assertions without facts or never running corrections when they do get something wrong (that's what real journalists do)

Also, the clip you sent is making it hard to eat my raisin bran this morning, I'm laughing so much.

You're borderline insane. At some point, I'll search for more clips of Olbermann. He regularly called for the impeachment of President Bush (regularly). If that's not fear-mongering insanity, I don't know what is.

Calling for the impeachment of someone with evidence and a well reasoned argument as to why is quite different from Glenn Beck telling people that the president was going to indoctrinate their children into commie-nazis during a beginning of the school year address when he had no evidence such a thing was going to occur.

No no, I don't buy into Olberman. I would never even see his stuff if it didn't show up online in snippets. But he seldom ever shows up as egregiously obfuscating the facts to support his agenda. In my estimation, he's more about rhetorically supporting his agenda, but doesn't fudge the facts. But I still have no interest in watching him.

If I'm going to watch TV news at all, it's NewsHour or BBC.
