You know, if al davis wants to give tens of millions of dollars to bums, he should just give them tens of millions of dollars. He doesn't have to put em' on the team too.

After today's games it looks like the Rams may be out to match last years Lions.
The Miami Dolphins finally put one in the win column.

It's nuts (which I actually think is a good thing) but two ridiculous pass plays have Denver 4-0 and late fourth quarter scores have both the Steelers and my Cowboys at 2-2 to initiate this young season. Of course Pittsburgh has Detroit and Cleveland on deck and Dallas goes to Kansas City next week, so things should turn around momentarily.

Matthew Stafford might have a dislocated kneecap, but the extent of his injury won't be known until further tests are complete and Eli Manning has a bruised heel that he hopes won't keep him out of the lineup next week.

There's still five unbeatens remaining and six winless teams remaining.

My guess is Minnesota is going to lose one later today...and it kills me to say that, as I can't stand seeing the Packers succeed.

While I still find it weird to see the word FAVRE on anything but a Packer uniform,
it's good to see the NFC North hitting on three solid cylinders again.

No kidding. None of us deserved to even sniff the playoffs last year.

So, anybody else notice the thinly disguised blowjob that Gruden gave Farve yesterday? I thought Madden was bad. "I remember when Brett used to throw 5000 passes every practice, and we'd talk about how awesome he was driving home", "Brett Faohrvuh is a living legend", "Oh God, he just completed a seam pass! I'm cumming!"

I might have a problem with it... if it wasn't all true.
Brett definitely loves the game as much as anyone
and has earned the accolades.

I miss the Gramaticas...the brotherly spastic kickers who took every field goal attempt as a life and death struggle on the scale of the World Cup.

Tell my Jets fan roommate that. I certainly do.

I usually just watch games between two legitimate contenders. So, I haven't watched a Raiders game in years. But I caught the beginning of the Raiders/Texans game this week and had to watch the whole thing. I've been watching every Sunday for 20 years but I can't remember the last time I had so much fun watching football. The entire game was like one long bloopers reel! Sacks, dropped passes, missed tackles, awful passes, turnovers, and a safety followed up by a kick returned for a TD. I have never seen a more pathetic offensive performance. My buddy and I were laughing throughout the whole game. And this was against the Texans, who are mediocre at best. They play the Giants next Sunday who have an elite defense.

I highly recommend that all football fans check out the Raiders defense v. Giants offense. It will be highly entertaining!

If I wasn't totally demoralized from being a Raider fan I might take offense. They are truly horrible.

"Rich Gannon is not welcome here," Raiders executive John Herrera told the Chronicle. "We told CBS we did not want him in our building, we did not want him to be part of our production meeting, and that's where it sits."
Herrera went on to argue that Gannon has repeatedly bashed the Raiders since becoming a TV analyst, quoting Gannon as saying that Oakland should just "blow up the building and start over" -- a statement that apparently sent Herrera and the rest of the Raiders franchise over the edge.

Wow... the truth really hurts. Guess the Raiders won't improve until they're finally honest with themselves about their situation. So with statements like that, it may be years before that franchise starts turning it's clunker around.

I guess you missed the Vikings at the Niners game in Week Three. Favre is still the gunslinger
who's style of play fans of the game have come to love or hate.

Oh my... I get to see the Raiders vs the Giants today if I need to lighten my mood. I hear Jamarcus Russell has put on enough pounds to rival Brandon Jacobs on the other sideline.

Giants have four possessions and it's 28-0 and CBS has done the Raiders a favor and switched games.

Did you see the hit Ray Lewis put on Ocho Cinco that drew a personal foul
where his helmet flew off and landed about ten yards away? Holy Crap!
He was lucky to walk off the field after that play.
