It won't happen because just like every other reality show on television, it's completely faked and staged. There is no such thing as "reality television".

Dude, remember that show Cheaters? It was the best. It was just as repetitive as To Catch a Predator but also more addicting.
The show got canceled cause the host got like, stabbed, and another guy got shot. If that was staged, I'd be really surprised. They would have had to stage the hospital stays and lawsuits, too.
Also, is Scare Tactics the one with Tracy Morgan? I kind of like it, but too many of the guests are total pansies. Before Tracy started hosting, probably in the show's first iteration years ago, I remember seeing one prank where the guy picked up a two-by-four and started swinging it at the escaped lunatic or whatever it was that supposed to scare him. I liked that guy. They had to have security come out and convince him for like 5 minutes that it was all fake before he would back down and drop the board.
I bet they tend to screen people to make sure they won't get violent. I think I might if I didn't start laughing about it all. If I sincerely felt scared for my life, I wouldn't go down without a fight. And I mean a fight where I wouldn't hold anything back. They probably don't want guys like me on the show and I'm sure do a psychological screening to make sure that A) they won't fight back and B) are easily scared/duped.
But yeah, some of the pranks are great, especially when you see that dawning awareness of danger in the faces of the victims (guests).

I too would not go down without a fight. One of the episodes I saw they picked up a hitchhicker, who wound up riding shotgun, the person being pranked was in the backseat. While the villain was out of the car the driver, who was in on the joke, looked in the villains bag and found a severed head, at which point the bad guy returned and began threatening the driver with a knife. At which point the little pussy in the back seat began screaming like a little girl and begging. If this were me that guy would either have got a full power roundhouse right in the temple, or one nasty ass sleeper hold. I guess the producers of the show wouldn't want me on there either.

I'm not sure I'd really be able to put that much conscious thought into it. I just think I know myself well enough that I can say I would flip out. That is, if I was cornered (and they always seem to be on that show). If it was possible to run away, you'd see me going Carl Lewis all on up out of that scene.
It's foolish to imagine yourself as Walker Texas Ranger.

Neanderpaul has a good point about the roundhouse. If the asshole is in the front seat, you have the advantage. If the car is parked then there is little he can do to get you killed if he sticks the driver.
It sucks to be the driver.
