JRT's - I beat the host "Serbia" [Winner: serbia]

Post by jricart »

Hi there:

Im promoting a new series of tournaments, and this is the first one! The Idea is to beat a Host, who is a Tournament Organizer. He will play 1 game against all of the players in all rounds, trying to get the best percentage win rate to qualify to the Final!
The most number of games that the host could play is 38, and the last man standing could be 17.

Our first host is SERBIA
Players: 16 + 1 Host (3 reserves needed for first round)
Type: 1vs1
Map: Italy
Initial Troops: Auto
Spoils: Flat Rate
Reinforcements: Chained
Fog of War: None
Rounds: 5 Rounds
Games: 2 per round per player

Fremiums are allowed, but they need to keep at least one slot open. Games will be sent by invite only, so that means, you only have 24hrs to join your game. If the invite expires, you are out!

The host will play against all players, 1 game per player per round in the first 3 rounds.
I will create the brackets with the 16 players in a Random order. Players will play 2 games, 1 game each other in the same bracket, plus 1 game against the host. The players needs at least 1 win to advance to the next round. If there is a tie (each player win 1 game) the player who won the game against the host advance to next round.

At round 4 (Semi-Finals) when we have the best 2 players, at this point the host already played 28 games, including 3 games against each of the 2 best players. If the host winning percentage record is better than the average percentage of the two best players, the Host goes to the finals, otherwise, the finals will be held by the two best players.

With this rule, we are trying to ensure that the Host doesn't qualify to the finals directly, and that means, Host need to work hard to win most of the games in the first 3 rounds.

In both cases (Host qualify or not) the two best players will play as follow:

Players will have a series of 3 games against each others and 2 games each against the Host. The best of 5 games wins, and advance to the finals if the host qualified. If the host doesn't qualified by the rule above, the best player wins the title and no Final is needed! If there is a tie between the best two players, the one who won most games against the Host in the semi finals wins!

If we have a player vs host final, player will have the Final 6 games against the Host. At this point the player and host already played 5 games each other. So the winner will be the best of those 11 combined games. If the player wins, he can claim: "I beat the HOST"

If you are interested in being part of this series of tournaments as HOST, please PM this application with the following information:

Code: Select all

-----------------------------------------------
Host Name (CC Nick):
Map:
Initial Troops:
Spoils:
Reinforcements:
Fog of War:
-----------------------------------------------

No big maps allowed! No Freestyle! No Speed Games!
To qualify as a HOST, you need at least one Tournament Organizer Medal in your profile!

Because this is the first tournament of the series, there is a possibility to change some rules during the course of the series. This tournament will be supervised closely by Lindax, so If you have any comments, feel free to contact any of us!.

Thank you for joining this tournament.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
