If and only if, the nation of Israel are Jewish, which is a pretty fair assumption, they have the most part of the promised land.
A fortnight ago the Israel government laid out plans to build 900 new homes for Israelis in Bethjalla, evicting a mere 7000 Palestinians from their homes, and when I say homes, I mean soon to be bulldozed, blown the shit out of and re-erected only to be blown the shit out of again, shacks. Added to that the standard annual income in that area is around £100 (British) and the cost of living is similar to that in the UK. The children of the area have limited access to food, shelter and education. One of my colleagues who goes out there regularly spent an entire fortnight ferrying seriously ill Palestinian kids across the border to an Israeli run supposedly non-sectarian children's hospital because the kid's parents are not allowed across the border, they were expected to leave their sickly children to walk the 5miles to the hospital, nearly all of whom were turned back for having incomplete medical records. The situation out there sucks and it's largely supported by cooperate funding from the U.S, Howard Schultz Strarbucks CEO donates millions of dollar a year straight to the Israeli military, not to the government mind you, the military. Be shocked and appalled.

The Muslim population was not expelled. Their descendants live in Israel to this day and they have full rights as citizens. They even have a political party in Israeli parliament known as the Balad party.

Palestinians who supported the destruction of Israel and aided the coalition of Arab states in their assault were expelled.
