that is the problem and risk of global warming of course...not just the warming...and the rise of the oceans that will cover millions and cities..but the fact that the end result is an ice cube that would take a few million years to thaw.

unfortunately, not all of us are as confident in your book that says we have a grand protector that will take care of everything... so some of us actually worry ourselves with such things...

but dont worry... we'll take care of you too. Granted its not because some god or book says we have to...but because we just know its the right thing to do... oh...and dont worry... we dont discriminate. Believe what you want... we will still try to take care of you... unlike your guy and his silly rules about who gets to live and who doesnt.

Seriously though... it would be pretty silly science to base such an important theory on one year, or a few days worth of data...thats why millions of years worth of data have been used, and why, while some argue against it....most scientists and even semi-educated lay people understand the implications of what is happening. Personally, I do find it ironic, though explainable that believers in religions and god are less likely to believe in the science...but again...that is reasonably understandable.

again, anyone that says there is global warming based on one day, week or year, is absolutely moronic. There I will agree with you.

However, scientifically speaking, global warming would cause visible and possibly substantial changes in weather patterns including very warm, and including very cold.

That being said... given that you have earlier posted that you believe that there will be an end, and a rapture as described in the bible... I honestly cant believe you wouldnt jump on global warming as the perfect mechanism for such an occurance.

It is almost too poetic after all. You have man, building machines, that rape the environment and pour chemicals into the air, and it is that which brings about his end. It also allows for God to actually be powerless to stop it from happening, since it was us who would have brought it upon ourselves.

Personally, I think any God would expect people to work very hard to protect the earth and its people from something this serious and dangerous from happening... but fully understand how much easier it is for people to just deny its happening...and just let whatever happens happen. I wouldnt expect God to be as happy about it...but He is God, so He of all people will understand, one would hope.

To be perfectly honest, I would consider denying, or not taking such a threat seriously to actually be sinful, given the full repurcussions of what would happen to so many people, if the science actually is correct. Certainly, its easier to just say thanks, sorry, and youre awesome to God...but I have to suspect he is not that easily fooled.
