Time for the first quads tournament in the Initech Series. Like all Initechs, this one will be automatic deploy, flat rate, chained and foggy. And it will be the first to use the new Classic revamp! All other relevant details follow. I present… Initech XVI: Global x4
OVERVIEW
4-round, 45-game, 3-map, 16-team tournament. All teams guaranteed three games. Max games for a team is 12.
ELIGIBLE PLAYERS
Premium only, sorry. Yes you’ll only technically need 3 games open per round, but there could be overlap across rounds and I also don’t want to risk holding up the tournament if a freemium ends up locked in multiple other games.
TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Each team must have 6,400 points cumulative at the time of registration.
RULES
All games will be Standard, Sequential, Automatic, Flat Rate, Chained, Foggy.
MAPS
The same 3 maps will be used in all rounds: Classic (World Cities), Land and Sea, High Seas
ROUNDS
This will be a simple bracket tournament, with each round being a best-of-three series with one game on each map mentioned above.
The first round will consist of 16 teams; the winning 8 advance to the quarterfinals.
The quarterfinals consist of 8 teams; the winning 4 advance to the semifinals.
The semifinals consist of 4 teams; the winning 2 advance to the finals.
The remaining two teams contest the final series; the winning team is tournament champion.
SEEDINGS
No seedings. Random draw.
TIEBREAKERS
No need for tiebreakers.
