Tired of whiners who leave awful ratings

Seriously this is really bugging me and makes me want to quit playing. I've only played like 5 games and yet in two of them I've had people leave awful ratings accusing me of backstabiing them, being a bully, this one just drives me crazy because I don't see how I bullied people, and of other things. I haven't done anything to these people except in one where I won and i think the guy got mad at me. The other game I offered the dude a truce, he invaded me the next turn and after I wiped him out he complained about me backstabbing him....grrr. Seriously people need to grow up, my rating is at a 3.9 because of these people.

yeah, some players will leave a poor rating just for losing or for no reason at all, but you responded and I think most look at that if they are worried about the rating. After a few more ratings your percentage will shoot right up and those few bad ratings at first won't even matter.

Also, take a look at who is leaving the rating. You have two freemiums with a combined 51 games total that left that feedback. the fact that they are freemiums is no big deal but they haven't played hardly any games means they don't have a clue what they are talking about. I was playing a double's game recently and got accused of secret diplomacy!!! It was the kids 4th or 5th game.....has no clue....don't sweat it

I feel your pain. Honestly, I feel that a player like you who just got here should be shielded from the ratings, or at least the low number for a much longer time than you are. It is without a doubt the biggest problem with the ratings system. Unfortunately, only new players really know this, and are affected, so I fear no one really realizes how unfair it is...though I promise, Ive tried.

Rest assured though, that if you play more games, and are indeed friendly, or hell, even silent in the chat, then your ratings will improve, over time. I wish I could say that there will be a better system for you soon, but new players get screwed by the current ratings, because not only are you more likely to make an honest mistake, one bad rating will tank your overall rating, where I myself could get ten bad ratings in a row, and it wouldnt touch my rating.

Stick with it though. There are great players in here. If you play a good, honest game, you can expect a 4.8 to 4.7 rating after a while.
And perhaps ill revist bumping my suggestion, though to be honest...even I am greedy enough to want ones that improve the game for me. I promise. Ill sent out a few pms and see what I can do to get this idea looked at one more time. Its just not as easy as a fix as you might think, which is why it wasnt just done in the beginning.

After looking through your game chats you are probably in for a lot of bad ratings due to the fact you look to make alliances in single player games almost immediately after starting game. A lot of people around here tend to rate bad for alliances in single games. Not saying I agree or disagree with alliances. Just saying get used to the ratings if you continue to play like that. Welcome to CC and have fun.

There is nothing wrong with forming an alliance,it's in the rules and also another part of the game.While you won't see it in many high ranking games you will see people block/ask for blocks which is pretty much the same shit if you ask me.

As I stated before. not saying I disagree with them. Just stating a lot of people will give a bad rating to people who use them in single player games, especially if you ask for truce immediately on first turns.
