lawrence taylor, all sorts of legal issue, he is hall of fame
charles barkley controversial, anger issues, oui's, in hall of fame
michael irvin, more legals issues, coke issues, in hall of fame

on and on and on


i think attitude and behavior if positive helps, again, like i said, that alone does not get you in, you have to be also great, better than most during your era, the attitude and behavior helps some

Blitz, that wasn't my point at all.

Good for you, you named players who have bad attitudes but still made the hall. But can you come up with anyone in a HoF who had bad stats but a great personality?

On the other hand, you have people whose character flaws keep them out. Shoeless Joe Jackson, Pete Rose, Mark McGwire (who was LOVED as a player)... not to mention all the other steroid users who will never see a plaque.

I agree Lindax, I dont think you need to have be # 1 or a conqueror, it may help, yes, however, there is 12 criteria, say you lindax met like 9 or 10 of those 12, well, I think that would be good to get you in. make sense?

This thread is pretty big. I have read some but not all. I would like to add my input.

I think you don't need requirements, but guidelines. I think at least three years should be the only requirement.

12 jurors or panel members is a great idea. I think they should be nominated. I think the panel should consist of 6 players and 6 mods.

I think nominations for Hall of Fame should come from players and this panel. I think 5 from each and out of the 10 players nominated, I feel 5 should be entered into the Hall of Fame every year.

There are many great players and contributors to this site and there are many reasons why players should be added. This is why I don't think exact requirements should be used.

Just my two cents.

you would have to been around awhile and well known by many on CC, I am not sure you have that reputation, but, I thank you for the interest. If you look at page 1 and see any ideas that could help with criteria of making HOF, I would be grateful.

Also, if we draw more interest than 12, then we would have to put it to a vote with a poll to be fair, so you may still be acknowledged sensfan. We would like a committee or 12 that are honest, impartial, have a respectable reputation and have demonstrated competency of the forums, contributions of cc and game skill, strategy, etc.

If or when this gets approved the 12 Judges would need a hidden forum. Myself, or perhaps, Optimus prime, and or lackattack maybe would oversee it or all 3 of us.

3. Made 1st 5 and Top 5 lists

4. Maintained RANK for long time

5. Membership status of Premium a vast majority of time

6. Stats: singles wins, doubles wins, triples wins, quad wins, assassin, term, total wins, etc.

7. Multiple contributions to CC site, overall enhancement, map making, tournament organizers, clan domination, site workers, forum helpers, posters making it a fun site with threads of popularity evidenced by over 100 pages, etc.

8. Feedback or Ranking System of 4.5 or higher-although somewhat subjective

9. Medals of 20+ and held high score in the process

10. CC players who played Tournaments and Won @ least 1

11. Obtained Conquerer or # 1 on Scoreboard

12. Versitile, demonstrates greatness in a plethera of game plays and gaming styles, on many maps

I need 12 judges and I have 15 that posted interest. Let's hold up here. I have to wean 3 off and may need to put it to a vote with a poll for the CC community to vote on these 15 names choosing 12. The CC community will need to choose the 12 they believe have the most well rounded CC experience in forums, games, reputation, stats, etc.

I also could do this another way. Have you all look at page 1 at the criteria????? Do you have any suggestions to make the eligibility requirements better? Anything I should delete or add?
