... What's the point?

Post by Eternal Shadow »

Why am I paying to play this game when it keeps screwing me over on dice day in and day out? I just failed to kill 35 troops with 60 and just lost the game because of it. I know your all thinking, "Oh, it's just CC dice, it happens to everyone." It's not. This is the third day in a row I have been losing games because of ridiculus dice, auto roll or not. It ruins the game for people like me who are aggressive in their game style, and makes me not want to renew my subscription in the spring. Is there a problem with the game for everybody, or does it just not like me?

Have you ever tried to track your rolls, using the user-created plugin for Fire Fox, the Dice Analyzer?

Also, keep in mind generally people remember the negative more so than the positive---that is always a flipside to consider.

Moreover, we often only see half our rolls---since a large majority of people aren't around to see their defensive rolls.

Andy is correct, dice have a mind of their own. I bet your forgetting when you rolled awesome dice as well or when your defense did the same to someone else. Yes sometimes it can feel like you are are hitting your head against a brick wall, it has for me and I bet anyone of high rank with many games will say the same. Stick with good strategy and you will eventually come out on top..I have been running dice analysis for a while now and it is horrendous but it doesn't show my defense which at times I know has been good.

Moral of the story, don't give up..keep on fighting.

I have come to the conclusion that for some its not that people don't remember their good dice but that people don't know what good dice are. People for some reason expect to win things like a 4 vs 1 every time even tough that is only a 66% chance of killing the one without losing one attacker.

Also try to expect good dice, where you just brush off bad dice and move on to the next game. you begin to notice when you get the good ones and just forget about you're bad dice when you take this approach. it really does make the game more enjoyable.

Stop auto assaulting. Atleast when the dice r being "random" you can put the brakes on em.

Why wouldn't you auto-assault 60 vs 35 for a kill also he never said he was or wasn't auto-assaulting...

It wasn't 35 all on one territory, they were spread out. I would hit roll, lose 4 times, hit auto and lose 3 more before killing the one on that region. Repeatedly. And what really done me in was an auto where I had 14 on 7, and he ended up with 4 and me 2, which handed him, his five cards and the game to the other player.

I do shake off the bad dice. I realize it's part of the game. I'll even stop making moves in a fast paced game and wait until the next day to make my next move if they dice are bad enough, but it'd been three days and 4 games. My rating went from above 1700 to sitting at 1593 right now. It's begining to tick me off. There were a few choice words in my first post that I decided to remove after writing it all. I would like to be able to climb the ranks, but can't when every time I get up, the game hacks me back down with 2:1 or even 3:1 odds for the other player. My defensive dice arn't much better either. Walls that I thought were guarunteed to hold up fell and the other player had more troops left over than I started with. I'm perfectly okay with losing one to kill one. I don't need to win every roll, and I don't expect to, but when you almost double the other players troop count, you should win

It's common knowledge if you fume and swear about shitty dice and bullshit luck, your situation will dramatically improve on your next roll.

At least that's what I was taught and, if any of you ever come up against me and see me get a bad roll, you will see that I use that strategy to great effect!

Remember: swearing and complaining really *is* a valid strategy!

Good luck!!!
