Group E is the first group who finished all their games and their final score is up. Congrats to Miandw, CunningImp, Jefreus and CandaVespin on advancing to stage 2. As you are the the first group to finish then you'll have quite a long brake before you can play again in the tournament so if you are freemium player then you don't have to keep any spots open for now. Also, God Emperor Q is advancing to next stage as reserve player. Which leaves us 3 players who didn't make to next stage: AndrewB, lehmanjk and Swig3D, thanks for playing with us!


New rule! As this is such a long tournament and stage 1 proved that several reserves are needed then I've worked out a system how I can keep things under control without bringing new players to the tournament. 5th player from each group (first player who didn't make to next stage) is moved on as reserve player and they will be used in order of their points (i.e. player with highest score from stage 1 gets to be reserve 1, player with 2nd highest score is reserve 2 etc). If it happens that I use all reserves and still have drop-outs then I will resize group to 7 players.

I understand it is a change in the tournament but it won't affect game play or settings so I think it's a justified move.


Looking at games now then we still have 7 active groups with 14 active games and 17 still waiting in line to be made. Should take a few months before we can start thinking about stage 2

My schedule has become a bit busier so I cannot check games every day but I will try to take a look at the games every second day and therefore the process of making new games will most likely slow down. If a game ends then your post in here with the game number will most likely speed it so think about it

We still have several groups to finish their games both in round 3 and 4. Group A has games left in both rounds, same for group B and D. Group F just needs a game to end in round 3 and Group G is waiting on round 4 games to end before finals results.

So, as I made a few new games then thought I'll take a fast look how many games we still have left. Groups that I don't mention have finished Stage 1

Just a note for easy following: Round 3 is Flat Terminator games and Round 4 Escalating Assassin games.
Group A has 3 games left - 1 active in round 3 and 2 I just made for them in round 4.
Group B is finishing their last 2 games in round 3 and I've created them 2 games in round 4 (1 has been active for awhile and 2nd I just created).
Group D has 1 game active in round 3 and 2 in round 4 (1 was just created).
Group F has only 1 game left and that's in round 3.
Group H also has 1 game left but that's in round 4.

Who advanced is easily seen from the scoreboard but those who advanced as reserves, here's a list to keep easier track of the order (when points are equal then number of wins is taken into account):

Yeah, most likely it's going to last for quite a bit. I am hoping to speed up the tournament a bit in stage 2 because after reading the rules again I noticed that original organiser had planned 3 games played at once which I'm hoping to implement now on (of course, freemiums can continue with 2 games at once because the rules aren't overly clear IMO). Anyway, we'll see how things go and I'm sure everybody supports speeding up the tournament as much as possible. Also, now I have some experience with the tournament and I've had time to get used to it. It's a lot easier to run tournaments that I've created because I've had time to think through everything, this is like jumping into the unknown water.

I'd like all groups to end before we move on to stage 2. Of course, if at some point it's really clear who advances then moving on to next stage might happen before first one has completely finished but right now I'd give the games time to end. I think that I can start all the games very soon because mostly we have premium members so if we leave out Group D, round 3 stalemate game then my most positive predictions hope that in a month we are very close to moving on to stage 2. Of course, this is very positively thought but I need to keep my spirit up somehow

What helps me keep a positive attitude is knowing that somebody is interested in the tournament and appreciates the "work" that I'm doing, therefore - thank you, Joe B.!

Now, I'm happy to say that all the 13 games, that still need to be played in stage 1, are active. Which means, my most positive predictions of moving on to stage 2 in a month, isn't that impossible.

Scoreboard updated because Group A finished their round 3 games. Overall we have 9 games left to finish in stage 1: 3 in round 2 and 6 in round 4 /Group A 1 game, Group B 4 games, Group D 3 games and Group F 1 game/ I'm starting to think what to do with the round 2 flat rate games because they seem to be going on quite for a long time and if all round 4 games are over then we'll see what solution I have come up with (unless, of course, they have decided to brake the stalemates and finish them).
